Royal Grammar School, Newcastle

Royal Grammar School, Newcastle upon Tyne, usually abbreviated as RGS, is a selective British independent school for pupils aged between 7 to 18 years. Founded in 1525 by Thomas Horsley, then-Mayor of Newcastle, it received royal foundation by Queen Elizabeth I and is the city's oldest institution of learning. The School is located in Newcastle upon Tyne, in North East England, and is a member of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference.

Jesmond Parish Church

Jesmond Parish Church is a parish church in the Church of England situated in Brandling Village in the Jesmond suburb of Newcastle upon Tyne, England. The church's official name is the Clayton Memorial Church, and is unusual among Anglican parish churches in not being named after either a saint who appears in the Church's calendar or a person of the Trinity. Ilford Road Metro station

Ilford Road Metro station is located mid-way between the Newcastle upon Tyne suburbs of Jesmond and Gosforth. The station opened in August 1980 and is served by the Tyne and Wear Metro service. It was the "typical Metro halt" used in publicity when the system first opened; when other stations were being repainted red, green or blue in the early years of the 21st century, Ilford Road was repainted in original brown, with much of the unpainted concrete being painted cream.

Central Newcastle High School

A1058 road

The A1058 or the Coast Road is a major road in North Tyneside. It runs from Jesmond in Newcastle upon Tyne to Tynemouth which is located on the coast 8 miles to the east from Newcastle City Centre. From Heaton to Billy Mill the road is built to grade-separated dual carriageway standard. Tyne Metropolitan College is also located halfway along the road, which allows for easy transit to and from home. East of Billy Mill, it is known as Beach Road.

Jesmond Synagogue

The Jesmond Synagogue is a former synagogue in the Jesmond neighbourhood of Newcastle upon Tyne, in northeast England. The synagogue, on Eskdale Terrace in Jesmond, was built in 1914-15 by Marcus Kenneth Glass in an Art Deco interpretation of Byzantine Revival style. The porch has a triple arcade and columns with lotus bud capitals. A large, sunburst, stained-glass window fills the huge Byzantine arch of the facade. The brickwork is coursed with alternating beige and red stripes.

Jesmond Old Cemetery

Jesmond Old Cemetery, is a Victorian cemetery in Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom founded in 1834. It contains two Grade II listed buildings and seven Grade II listed monuments as well as the graves of dozens of notable people from the history of Tyneside. There are ten Commonwealth service personnel buried in this cemetery, eight from World War I and two from World War II.
