Strawberry Field
Strawberry Field was a Salvation Army children's home in Woolton, a suburb of Liverpool, England. The earliest reference to 'Strawberry Field' dates from 1870. In 1912 it was transferred to a wealthy merchant whose widow sold the estate to the Salvation Army in 1934. It opened on 7 July 1936. The original house was later demolished and replaced with a smaller purpose-built home for children which opened in the early 1970s. This home provided three family units, each accommodating 12 children.
251 Menlove Avenue
251 Menlove Avenue, named Mendips, was the childhood home of John Lennon, singer and songwriter with the Beatles, and is now preserved by the National Trust. Mendips is a 1930s semi-detached property in Woolton, South Liverpool, England. The house belonged to Lennon's Aunt Mimi and her husband George Smith. The couple took John in at the age of five, after his mother, who was living with her boyfriend, was persuaded that it would be better for Mimi and George to take care of him.
Allerton Cemetery
Purchase of the land for Allerton Cemetery was completed in October 1906, the Church of England section was consecrated by the Bishop of Liverpool on 24 September 1909, and the first burial in the cemetery took place on 29 December 1909. It is still in operation.
Allerton Priory
Allerton Priory, Liverpool, England, is a Grade II* listed building designed by Alfred Waterhouse. It has been a home for the elderly, nuns once ran it as a refuge for Irish girls. It was temporary certified 18 May 1916 for 15 girls, re-certified 1917 as a mixed school as Allerton Priory Special Industrial School for mentally defective girls under 15'. It ceased to be a Home Office school in 1933. The Nuns owned the property until the 80's taken over and converted to a Nursing Home.
St. Peter's Church, Woolton, Liverpool
St. Peter's Church in Woolton, Liverpool, England opened in 1887 with the neo-Gothic building replacing an earlier church on the site. It is one of the larger parish churches in Liverpool. It is an active church today, but is also known for its connections with The Beatles.

Gateacre railway station
Gateacre railway station was a station located on the North Liverpool Extension Line on the north side of Belle Vale Road, Gateacre, Liverpool. It is sometimes reported as Gateacre & Woolton. The station closed to passengers on 15 April 1972. It was planned that the station would reopen as the southern terminus of Merseyrail's Northern Line. This never occurred with Hunts Cross station becoming the terminus.
Woolton Woods and Camphill
Woolton Woods and Camp Hill is a wooded park in the Woolton suburb of Liverpool in England. It is adjacent to St Julie's Catholic High School and Woolton High Street. Woolton Woods formed part of the estate of Woolton Hall, but was acquired by the city of Liverpool in the 1920s. From 150 BC an Iron Age fort occupied the crest of Camp Hill.
