251 Menlove Avenue
251 Menlove Avenue, named Mendips, was the childhood home of John Lennon, singer and songwriter with the Beatles, and is now preserved by the National Trust. Mendips is a 1930s semi-detached property in Woolton, South Liverpool, England. The house belonged to Lennon's Aunt Mimi and her husband George Smith. The couple took John in at the age of five, after his mother, who was living with her boyfriend, was persuaded that it would be better for Mimi and George to take care of him.
Allerton Cemetery
Purchase of the land for Allerton Cemetery was completed in October 1906, the Church of England section was consecrated by the Bishop of Liverpool on 24 September 1909, and the first burial in the cemetery took place on 29 December 1909. It is still in operation.

Allerton Priory
Allerton Priory, Liverpool, England, is a Grade II* listed building designed by Alfred Waterhouse. It has been a home for the elderly, nuns once ran it as a refuge for Irish girls. It was temporary certified 18 May 1916 for 15 girls, re-certified 1917 as a mixed school as Allerton Priory Special Industrial School for mentally defective girls under 15'. It ceased to be a Home Office school in 1933. The Nuns owned the property until the 80's taken over and converted to a Nursing Home.
Calderstones House
Calderstones House, Calderstones Park, Liverpool was built in 1828 for Joseph Need Walker, a lead shot manufacturer. In 1875 the house and estate were acquired by Charles McIver, founder of Cunard Line, for £52,000. It is a Grade II Listed building. The House and Stables now house the Recreation and Open Spaces Departments of the Liverpool City Council. However in January 2012 the council placed the house on the market.
Allerton railway station
Allerton railway station was a railway station on the City Line of the Merseyrail network, located in the suburbs of Liverpool, England. It opened on 15 February 1864 with the opening of the St Helens Railway's extension to Edge Hill. Despite the name, it was not located in the suburb of Allerton, but in neighbouring Garston. The station was located at the junction of the routes from Liverpool to Manchester and Crewe.

Allerton TMD is a railway traction maintenance depot situated in Liverpool, England. The depot is opposite Liverpool South Parkway and is visible to the north on the way to Hunts Cross. The depot is located very close to Garston Freightliner Terminal and also not far from Widnes Intermodal Depot. The depot code is now AN but, in steam days, the shed code was 8J.
Hunts Cross chord
Hunts Cross chord is a section of railway track in Liverpool that was built by the Cheshire Lines Committee (CLC) to connect the LNWR's Edge Hill to Ditton Junction line with the CLC's Liverpool to Manchester Line. Mainline services between Manchester and Liverpool were diverted to Lime Street from their previous terminus at Central High Level over this connection from 5 September 1966.

Allerton Junction is an at grade junction just east of Liverpool South Parkway, Allerton, Merseyside. It takes its name from the former station Allerton. The junction is where the Liverpool to Manchester line branches off the Liverpool branch of the West Coast Main Line. Services operating over the junction are East Midlands Trains, First TransPennine Express, London Midland, Northern Rail and Virgin Trains.
Jet of Iada
Jet of Iada aka Jet (21 July 1942–18 October 1949) was an Alsatian, who assisted in the rescue of 150 people trapped under blitzed buildings. He was a pedigree dog born in Liverpool, and served with the Civil Defence Services of London. He was awarded both the Dickin Medal and the RSPCA's Medallion of Valor for his rescue efforts.
