Lincoln Racecourse

Lincoln Racecourse is a former horse racing venue to the west of the city of Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England. It was the original location of the Lincoln Handicap. The course closed in 1965 and the race relocated to Doncaster Racecourse. The course was located west of the City of Lincoln by Saxilby Road. The racecourse was established by the Lincoln Corporation on West Common in 1773. The grandstand of 1897 is a Grade II listed building, now used as a community centre.

Skellingthorpe railway station

Skellingthorpe railway station is a former railway station in Skellingthorpe, Lincolnshire. It was opened by the Lancashire, Derbyshire and East Coast Railway in March 1897 and closed by British Railways in 1955 It was the only LD&ECR station in Lincolnshire, since to the east it joined the GNR line at Pyewipe Junction into Lincoln.
