Belgrave Hall
Belgrave Hall is a Queen Anne-style house built for Edmund Cradock in 1709 in the midst of 2 acres of walled gardens in Belgrave, Leicester. It is a Grade II* listed building. Between 1767-1844 it was the home of the Vann family who in about 1776 built the nearby Belgrave House. Following its sale to the local authority the Hall was opened to the public in 1936 as a museum.
Belgrave and Birstall railway station
Belgrave and Birstall railway station was a railway station opened by the Great Central Railway in 1899. In 1991 Leicester North railway station was opened immediately to the south of Belgrave and Birstall railway station by the preserved Great Central heritage railway and is representative of the 1960s when the line was under control of British Railways Midland Region. It is currently the southern terminus of the railway. It served the villages of Belgrave and Birstall in Leicestershire.
Highcliffe Primary School
Highcliffe Primary School is located in Leicestershire, in the village of Birstall. A pupil could attend all the way from nursery (The Acorn Playgroup) to year 6. The school uses a symbol of a daisy as its logo and the uniform consists of a dark green jumper with this logo on it. It is a large school with one main field and four playgrounds spread over the grounds; it also has its own swimming pool.
Red Hill filling station
The Red Hill filling station on the west of the A6, Loughborough Road, approximately 300 metres north of Red Hill Circle in Birstall near Leicester, became a Grade II listed building in 2012. The petrol filling station is an example of the futuristic "Pegsus" design created by Eliot Noyes for Mobil in the mid-1960s.
