The Borough of Maidstone is a local government district with borough status in Kent, England. Its administrative centre is Maidstone which is also the County town of Kent. grid reference TQ760560 The district was formed on 1 April 1974 under the Local Government Act 1972, and was a merger of the former municipal borough of Maidstone with the rural districts of Hollingbourne and Maidstone.

Maidstone United F.C

Maidstone United Football Club is an English football team based in Maidstone, Kent. The current club is a continuation of the old Maidstone United, which was a member of the Football League between 1989 and 1992. That club was forced out of the league through bankruptcy but the nucleus of a new club was built around the youth squad. The 'Stones' were elected to the Kent County League Fourth Division in 1993 and subsequently progressed through the non-league pyramid.

Kent Institute of Art & Design

The Kent Institute of Art & Design was an art school based across three campuses in the county of Kent, in the United Kingdom. It was formed by the amalgamation of three independent colleges: Canterbury College of Art, Maidstone College of Art and Rochester (Medway) College of Art. Maidstone Barracks railway station

The Loft (nightclub)
