The Schools at Somerhill is the title given to a group of schools located in Somerhill House, a Jacobean mansion situated to the south east of Tonbridge in Kent, England, but lying with the parish of Tudeley-cum-Capel. The three schools are Yardley Court, Derwent Lodge and Somerhill Pre-Prep. Yardley Court is for boys aged 7–13, Derwent Lodge for girls aged 7–11 and Somerhill Pre-Prep is a mixed school for aged 3–7 boys and girls.

These uses included corn milling, fulling, paper making, iron smelting, pumping water, making gunpowder, vegetable oil extraction, and electricity generation. Today, there is just one watermill working for trade. Those that remain have mostly been converted.

Pembury Hospital was a hospital near Pembury, Kent, England, run by the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. The hospital is located north-west of the village on Tonbridge Road. The hospital closed and was demolished, except for a Grade II listed chapel, in 2010/11 and replaced by The Tunbridge Wells Hospital.

The Church of St Thomas à Becket, Capel, is a redundant Anglican church in the village of Capel, Kent, England. It has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade I listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. Capel is located 4 miles east of Tonbridge, off the B2017 road. It is said that Thomas Becket preached either in the church, or under a yew tree in the churchyard.

Tunbridge Wells Hospital is a large district general hospital near Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England, run by the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. The hospital is located north-west of the village of Pembury on Tonbridge Road. The hospital was built by Laing O'Rourke on the site of Pembury Hospital at a cost of £226 million. Building work started in 2008.
Hartlake disaster
The Hartlake disaster was the death of 30 hop-pickers on 20 October 1853. The Hartlake bridge is a bridge over the river Medway in Golden Green of the parish of Hadlow, Kent. In the evening of 20 October a wagon was taking about 40 hop-pickers and their families back to their campsite. A horse tripped as it was crossing the side of the bridge, the wagon collided with the side, and the bridge collapsed into the river. The river was swollen in flood.
