Hillsborough disaster
The 1989 Hillsborough disaster was an incident which occurred during the FA Cup semi-final match between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest football clubs on 15 April 1989 at the Hillsborough Stadium in Sheffield, England. The crush resulted in the deaths of 96 people and injuries to 766 others. The incident has since been blamed primarily on the police. The incident remains the worst stadium-related disaster in British history and one of the world's worst football disasters.

Hillsborough Stadium (commonly called just Hillsborough) is a sporting venue in Sheffield, England, which is owned by and stages the home games of Sheffield Wednesday, as well as boasting a range of function rooms, and suites, which can be hired out for events. Football has been played at the ground since it was opened on 2 September 1899, when Wednesday moved from their original ground at Olive Grove. Today it is a 39,732 capacity all-seater stadium, making it the largest stadium in the city.

It is located in the northwestern part of the city and covers an area of 4.6 km. The population of this ward in 2001 was 18,500 people in 7,700 households.

Crookes ward—which includes the districts of Crookes, Steelbank, Crosspool, and Sandygate —is one of the 28 electoral wards in City of Sheffield, England. It is located in the western part of the city and covers an area of 3.9 km. The population of this ward in 2001 was 16,800 people in 7,200 households. In the 2004 local elections Sylvia Anginotti, John Hesketh, and Brian Holmes, all Liberal Democrats, were returned as councillors for the newly drawn ward.

River Rivelin
The River Rivelin is a river in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. It rises on the Hallam moors, in north west Sheffield, and joins the River Loxley. The Rivelin Valley, through which the river flows, is a three and a half mile long woodland valley which includes the popular Rivelin Valley Nature Trail that was created in 1967. The valley has farmland on its gentler upper slopes.
Sheffield Hillsborough (UK Parliament constituency)
Sheffield Hillsborough was a Parliamentary constituency in the City of Sheffield. It was considered a safe Labour seat and was represented by Helen Jackson from 1992 to 2005. She did not stand again in the 2005 general election and was succeeded by Angela Smith. The Sheffield Hillsborough constituency was abolished at the 2010 General Election. It was divided up and incorporated into the Sheffield Brightside and Hillsborough, Sheffield Hallam and Penistone and Stocksbridge constituencies.

Regent Court
Regent Court is a block of flats in the Hillsborough district of Sheffield, England. The building was designed in 1936 by Edgar Gardham and completed in 1936. Funded privately, it was the largest housing complex in the city at the time, a similar smaller block also being built by Gardham on Duke Street. Despite lying in a working class area, the building boasted high specifications and rents.
Sheffield Royal Infirmary
The Royal Infirmary was a hospital in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. The establishment opened in 1792 under the name Sheffield General Infirmary, renamed Royal Infirmary in 1897 and closed in 1980. Built by J.D. Webster & Sons, many of the establishment's features made it unique. An innovative octagonal outpatients department was built in 1884, and was lit by a cupola. It had a roof of wrought iron lattice girders and a tiled waiting room with the consulting rooms leading off it.
Hillsborough Park
Hillsborough Park is a large parkland area in Hillsborough, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. The park was created in 1897 by the Dixon Family, who built Hillsborough Hall. It is now owned by Sheffield City Council and the hall is used as a library. Hillsborough Park features a fishing lake, a bowling green with pavilion, a walled garden and a playground.
Leppings Lane

Crookesmoor Road
Crookesmoor Road is a main road in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England connecting the districts of Crookes, Crookesmoor and Broomhill. It is one of the longest roads in Sheffield, and home of a large student population. The University of Sheffield School of Architecture is also based here. Crookesmoor Road is composed mainly of Victorian terraces, complete with cellars and small yards; the majority of houses are landlord-owned and rented to students at the University of Sheffield.

Hillsborough House
Hillsborough House, later called Hillsborough Hall, is a large, stone-built mansion constructed in the Adam style in the latter part of the 18th century. It stands 2½ miles NW of the centre of Sheffield at grid reference SK331901 in the suburb of Hillsborough within Hillsborough Park, a council-owned public recreational area. For 124 years the house was a private dwelling, but since 1906 it has housed the Hillsborough branch library.
Burrowlee House
Burrowlee House is a Georgian style building situated at grid reference SK334901 on Broughton Road in the Owlerton district of Sheffield, some four km NW of the city centre. It is the oldest building in the Owlerton and Hillsborough area and was one of the first houses constructed wholly from brick in Sheffield. The house is a grade two listed building with two storeys and five bays with a stone balustrade over the three middle bays, there is a date stone over the main door.

Walkley Library
Walkley Library is a public lending library in Walkley, a suburb of the City of Sheffield in England. It stands at the junction of Walkley Road and South Road in one of the busiest parts of the area. It is one of 28 suburban branch libraries within the city. The building is a Carnegie library, the only library in Sheffield to receive Carnegie funding, it is also a Grade II listed building as are the boundary walls and commemorative plaque in front of the library.
Wardsend Cemetery
Wardsend Cemetery is an abandoned Victorian cemetery in the Owlerton district of Sheffield, England, consecrated by the Archbishop of York in 1859 and closed to legal burial in 1968. The ground on which the cemetery stands was originally purchased by John Livesey in 1857, the Reverend of the nearby St. Philip's Church as an overspill burial grounds. The first burial at Wardsend was of a 2 year old girl named Ann Marie Marsden in 1857.
