Digswell Viaduct
The Welwyn Viaduct, also called Digswell Viaduct is a railway viaduct that carries the East Coast Main Line over the River Mimram and a locally important landmark. It is located between Welwyn Garden City and Digswell. It is just to the south of Welwyn North railway station. The viaduct is around 1,560 feet long and comprises forty arches of 30 ft span, and is 100 ft high from ground level to trackbed.
Digswell
Digswell is an ancient village in the English county of Hertfordshire which is recorded in the 1086 Domesday Book. Digswell's name may be derived from Deacon's Well. There were two Manors, with 2 water Mills, much land under plough, and a large area of woodland. Little changed until 1922 when part of the estate once belonging to Lord Cowper of Panshanger was sold at auction, and bought by a group of pioneers of the Garden City Movement including Ebenezer Howard.

Howard Centre
The Howard Centre is a shopping centre in Welwyn Garden City. It is named after Sir Ebenezer Howard, founder of the Garden City movement. It was built by Tarmac Construction and opened in October 1990. It provides 240,000 sq ft . of space on two levels: anchor tenants include Marks & Spencer, Boots, W H Smith, Next and Monsoon. The centre has direct access to Welwyn Garden City railway station, with a ticket office in the centre itself, and is adjacent to the town's bus station.
Sherrardspark Wood
Sherrardspark Wood is a 74.9 hectare (185.1 acre) biological and geological, site of Special Scientific Interest in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. The site was notified in 1986 under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and is currently managed by the Country Trust as a Nature Reserve. It has a number of walks through the wood, one of which used to follow the disused Luton/Dunstable branch line from Welwyn Garden City railway station.

Digswell Park
Digswell Park is a cricket ground in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. The first recorded match on the gound was in 1866 between The Node and Southgate. In 2000, the ground hosted its only Minor Counties Championship match to date, which was between Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire. In 2003, the ground hosted 2 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches. Hertfordshire resumed their usage of Digswell Park and have to date played 4 further MCCA Knockout Trophy matches on the ground.
