Anstey, Hertfordshire

Anstey is a village and civil parish in the East Hertfordshire district of Hertfordshire, England, about fifteen miles north-east of Stevenage. According to the 2001 census the population of the parish was 338. There is at least one book on the history of this village titled "Anstey, a Hertfordshire Parish" written in 1929 by Rev Frank Ricardo Williams, M.A. He was the rector from 1907–28,(died 19 May 1937)

Braughing Rural District

Braughing was a rural district in Hertfordshire, England from 1935 to 1974. It was created under a County Review Order by the merger of most of the Hadham Rural District and most of the Buntingford Rural District. It was named after Braughing. It was abolished under the Local Government Act 1972, and became part of the District of East Hertfordshire.

Wyddial is a village and civil parish in Hertfordshire, near Buntingford. It is located at TL 373 317 and lies due north of Greenwich on the Prime Meridian. Wyddial is also a civil parish in East Hertfordshire District Council. The place-name is first attested in the Domesday Book of 1086 and means 'willow nook'. The parish church of St Giles dates from the 14th century when the nave was built. The tower and chancel date from the 15th century.

St Mary the Virgin's Church, Little Hormead, is a redundant Anglican church in the village of Little Hormead, Hertfordshire, England. It has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade I listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. The church is particularly noted for its preserved door, which is described as a "work of outstanding importance", as being a "rare and precious survival", with its "most lavish display of 12th-century ironwork".
