RAF Madley
RAF Madley was an RAF airfield situated in Herefordshire, England. The site opened as a training centre for aircrew and ground wireless operators on 27 August 1941. In 1943, the grass airfield was reinforced with Sommerfeld Tracking and the centre's population rose to about 5,000. The site was visited in 1944 prior to D-Day by US General George S. Patton, and later by Rudolf Hess (who had been held prisoner near Abergavenny) on his way to the Nuremberg Trials in 1946.
Kivernoll
Kivernoll (originally Kiverknoll) is a hamlet in the county of Herefordshire, England. It is part of Much Dewchurch parish. Kivernoll consists of a small number of houses along the B4348, with settlement stretching along the unclassified road to Kilpeck and the byway to Dewsall known as The Rhydd. Kivernoll contains a number of listed buildings including an 18th-century stable. There is a one span bridge over the Worm brook constructed in 1823 by a contractor called John Parsons.
