Abbey Mills Pumping Stations

The original Abbey Mills Pumping Station, in Abbey Lane, London E15, is a sewage pumping station, designed by engineer Joseph Bazalgette, Edmund Cooper, and architect Charles Driver. It was built between 1865 and 1868. It was designed in a cruciform plan, with an elaborate Byzantine style, described as The Cathedral of Sewage. Another of Bazalgette's designs, Crossness Pumping Station, is located south of the River Thames at Crossness, at the end of the Southern Outfall Sewer.

Three Mills

The Three Mills are former working mills on the River Lea in the East End of London, one of London’s oldest extant industrial centres. The largest and most powerful of the four remaining tidal mills is possibly the largest tidal mill in the world. It is mainly accessed by a bridge over the Limehouse Cut and River Lea. The River Lea Tidal Mill Trust Ltd owns the House Mill and the Miller's House buildings, which are used for educational projects and as conference spaces.

London Aquatics Centre

The London Aquatics Centre is an indoor facility with two 50-metre swimming pools and a 25-metre diving pool in Olympic Park at Stratford, London, it was one of the main venues of the 2012 Summer Olympics and the 2012 Summer Paralympics. London Gas Museum

The London Gas Museum was a museum in the London Borough of Newham in east London, England. It was situated on Twelvetrees Crescent, on the eastern side of the River Lea and near to Bromley-by-Bow tube station. Amongst other exhibits, it held a gas-powered radio. The former contents are currently in storage in Leicester; and controlled by The National Gas Museum Trust, who hope to create a permanent display.

Prescott Channel

The Prescott Channel was built in 1930–35 as part of a flood relief scheme for the River Lee Navigation in the East End of London, England, and was named after Sir William Prescott, the then chairman of the Lee Conservancy Board. Rubble from the demolished Euston Arch was used in 1962 to improve the channel, which forms part of the Bow Back Rivers.

Stratford Circus

Stratford Circus is a contemporary performing arts venue in Stratford in the London Borough of Newham, east London. Memorial Grounds

Memorial Grounds was the home stadium of east London football club Thames Ironworks from the beginning of the 1897-98 season, until the end of the 1899-1900 season. The team continued to play at the stadium, under its new name of West Ham United, until they moved to their current home at the Boleyn Ground in 1904. The Memorial Grounds stadium was situated in Canning Town, close to where West Ham station now stands.

Stratford TMD

Stratford MPD was an engine shed located in Stratford in London in the UK on the Great Eastern Main Line. It was located just west of Stratford station on the site occupied in July 2012 by Stratford International station. The depot was at one time the biggest on the London and North Eastern Railway with locomotives covering duties from crack express services to freight workings in London's docks. Each UK depot has a code that is used when allocating locomotives to the depots.

House Mill

The House Mill is a major Grade I listed building on the River Lea in Bromley-by-Bow, London. Although the Three Mills date back to the Domesday book, the present house mill was rebuilt in 1776 by Daniel Bisson. It was damaged by fire in 1802, and then rebuilt by Philip Metcalfe. It is one of only four grade I listed buildings in the London Borough of Newham. The House Mill remains the "largest tidal mill left standing in Britain", although the water wheels are not in operation.

Channelsea River

Channelsea River is a tidal river in London, England, one of the Bow Back Rivers that flow into the Bow Creek part of the River Lea, which in turn flows into the River Thames. In 1957–8, the Channelsea River was culverted between Stratford High Street and Lett Road. In 1994, the historian Dan Cruickshank discovered 4,000 tons (60%) of the lost Euston Arch buried in the bed of the River Lea at the Channelsea River and the Prescott Channel. Channelsea Island is located on this river.
