Southside House is a 17th century house located on the south side of Wimbledon Common. It is Grade II listed The house was built for Robert Pennington, who had shared Charles II's exile in Holland. In 1687 after losing his son to the Bubonic Plague, Pennington left London for Holme Farm, Wimbledon, which at that time was a separate village several miles from the capital. Pennington commissioned Dutch architects to build the house, incorporating an existing farmhouse into the design.

Malden Manor

Malden Manor is a manor house located in the Old Malden area in the borough of Kingston Upon Thames, London, England. The Grade II listed Manor House, next to St John's, is also mentioned in the Domesday Book. In 1264 Walter de Merton, Bishop of Rochester, founded a college here that was later moved to Oxford as Merton College. The house was later used as a court in the reign of Henry VIII, and in the mid 18th century the house was the home of Captain Cook.
