Metropolitan Borough of Hackney
The Metropolitan Borough of Hackney was a Metropolitan borough of the County of London from 1900 to 1965. Its area became part of the London Borough of Hackney.
Metropolitan Borough of Bethnal Green
Bethnal Green was a civil parish and a metropolitan borough in the East End of London, England. It was formed as a civil parish in 1743 from the Bethnal Green hamlet in Stepney ancient parish, and the church of St Matthew, Bethnal Green was dedicated in 1746. The vestry became an electing authority to the Metropolitan Board of Works in 1855 and in 1889 it became part of the County of London.
Victoria Park, London
Victoria Park (known colloquially as Vicky Park or the People's Park) is 86.18 hectares of open space that stretches out across part of the East End of London, England bordering parts of Bethnal Green, Hackney, and Bow, such as along Old Ford Road, London E3 and Victoria Park Road E9. The park is entirely within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. It is also used as a concert venue and hosts many festivals each year. The park is approximately a mile away from the London Olympic Park.
A1205 road
The A1205 is a road in east London which runs north to south parallel to the Regent's Canal and connects South Hackney and Victoria Park with the A13 at Limehouse. It is approximately 2 miles (3 km) in length, and runs in a roughly SSW direction.
Hackney (parish)
Hackney was a parish in the historic county of Middlesex. The parish church of St John-at-Hackney was built in 1789, replacing the nearby former 16th century parish church dedicated to St Augustine (pulled down in 1798). The original tower of that church was retained to hold the bells until the new church could be strengthened; the bells were finally removed to the new St John's in 1854. Parmiter's School
Parmiter's School is a co-educational school with academy status in Garston, Hertfordshire on the outskirts of North West London, England with a long history. Although the school admits pupils of all abilities it is partially selective (see below). It is currently the most oversubscribed school in Hertfordshire, and has often been recognised by the DfES for being one of the highest performing schools in the country by value added and score as a mixed ability school.

St Augustine's Tower Hackney
St Augustine's Tower stands in St John's Church Gardens, in Hackney Central, in the London Borough of Hackney, just off the southern end of the Narrow Way (formerly Church Street). It is all that remains of the early 16th century parish church of Hackney of St Augustine, which replaced the 13th century medieval church founded by the Knights of St John. The Tower comprises four stages beneath a restored parapet with diagonal buttressing.
Sutton Place, Hackney
Sutton Place, is a small street in the London Borough of Hackney. It links Homerton High Street with St John's Church Gardens, in Hackney. The Georgian terrace of 1790–1806, is Grade II listed as a whole, together with the villas on the north side of the street which date from 1820, and is sited in the conservation area around the gardens of St John-at-Hackney. The street replaced Church Path, an historic path connecting the villages of Homerton and Hackney.
Lakeview Estate
Lakeview Estate is a housing estate in Bow, east London designed by Berthold Lubetkin. It was built on a site damaged by bombing in World War II, on Grove Road between Old Ford Road and the Hertford Union Canal. The estate opened in 1958. It overlooks the lake in Victoria Park.
Clapton Square
The Clapton Square Conservation Area, Hackney, was designated in 1969 and extended in 1991 & 2000. It is protected by Acts of Parliament as a London Square. It is dominated by the Church of St John-at-Hackney built in 1792-97, and St John’s Gardens. Its made up of listed late Georgian terraces on Clapton Square. More of these terraces can be found on the south side of Sutton Place (once home to Colin Firth) and pairs of early mid-nineteenth century houses to the north.
Church of St John-at-Hackney
The Church of St John-at-Hackney is situated in the London Borough of Hackney. It was built in 1792, in an open field, north east of Hackney's medieval parish church, of which only St Augustine's Tower remains. Separated by the southern extension of Lower Clapton Road, it looks north to the late Georgian Clapton Square.
Chatham (ward)
Chatham is a ward in the London Borough of Hackney and forms part of the Hackney South and Shoreditch constituency. The ward returns three councillors to Borough Council, with an election every four years. At the last local election on 6 May 2010, Luke Akehurst, Sally Mulready, and Guy Nicholson, all Labour Party candidates, were returned. Turnout was 54%; with 4,771 votes cast. In 2001, Chatham ward had a total population of 10,722.

Victoria is a ward in the London Borough of Hackney and forms part of the Hackney South and Shoreditch constituency. The ward returns three councillors to Borough Council, with an election every four years. At the previous election on 6 May 2010, Katie Hanson, Daniel Kemp, and Geoff Taylor, all Labour Party candidates, were returned. Victoria ward has a total population of 12,065, the most populated ward in the borough.

London Chest Hospital
The London Chest Hospital, located in Bethnal Green in London, adjacent to Victoria Park, is a hospital run by the Barts Health NHS Trust. It was founded in 1848, and first opened in 1855. On 1 April 2010, LCH Radio broadcast its first shows to the hospital's patients. LCH Radio is one of only a few hospital radio stations to broadcast on an FM bandwidth, the first being Radio Lonsdale at Furness General Hospital in Barrow-in-Furness.

Cranbrook Estate
The Cranbrook Estate is a housing estate in Bethnal Green, East London designed by Berthold Lubetkin. The site, which is east of Bonner Street and north of Roman Road, was called Cranbrook after the central street. "Terraced houses, workshops, and one large factory were replaced by a figure of eight called Mace Street, which echoed the diagonals of the street pattern to the north. " The first blocks were opened in 1963.

Dent-de-Leone is a small independent publisher located in London, distinctive for the fact that it collaborates directly with artists and designers to produce its books. It was founded by Martino Gamper, Kajsa Ståhl and Maki Suzuki (both from design collective Åbäke) in 2004 with the publication of the book What Martino Gamper did between two-thousand and two-thousand&four. It produces an irregular number of books per year, as well as limited editions and multiples.
Martino Gamper
Martino Gamper is an Italian designer based in London who became internationally regarded through his project 100 Chairs in 100 Days. This group of works was exhibited in 2007 in London, the Milan Triennale in 2009 and will be at YBCA in San Francisco in late 2010. It has also been published by Dent-De-Leone as a book, 100 Chairs in 100 Days and its 100 Ways, recently republished as a pocket book.
