Stoke Orchard
Stoke Orchard is a village or hamlet north-west of Cheltenham in Gloucestershire, England. Stoke Orchard is in the borough of Tewkesbury, the Cheltenham post town, and on the Coombe Hill, Cheltenham, telephone exchange. Stoke Orchard neighbours Elmstone-Hardwicke, Tredington and Bishop's Cleeve. Politically the village is twinned with neighbouring Tredington, as Stoke Orchard parish. The two villages are part of a large church parish with two other villages nearer to the River Severn.

Piff's Elm
Piff's Elm is the local name for part of the English parish of Elmstone-Hardwicke. It is effectively a hamlet, and is near Hardwicke, Uckington, and Junction 10 of the M5 motorway in Gloucestershire. The similarly named Withybridge is also nearby. Tombs commemorating the Piff family, first recorded in the 16th century, lie in the churchyard of Elmstone-Hardwicke's St Mary Magdalene church. The elm itself was felled in 1844.

The museum is housed in a 17th-century half-timbered building at 64 and 64a Barton Street in property which was given to the Borough of Tewkesbury in 1956 on the express condition that it be used as a museum; but the museum did not open until 1962, after all of the previous tenants of the building had left.
