Rougemont Castle
Rougemont Castle, also known as Exeter Castle, is the historic castle of the city of Exeter, Devon, England. It was built into the northern corner of the Roman city walls starting in or shortly after the year 1068, following Exeter's rebellion against William the Conqueror. In 1136 it was besieged for three months by King Stephen. An outer bailey, of which little now remains, was added later in the 12th century.
Tarka Line
The Tarka Line (named after the animal hero in Henry Williamson's book Tarka the Otter) is a railway line from Exeter to Barnstaple in Devon, England. The line follows the River Creedy, River Yeo and River Taw for some of its route. At Coleford Junction there is a branch to Okehampton, which has recently reopened to passenger trains as the Dartmoor Railway.
Avocet Line
The Avocet Line is the railway line in England connecting Exeter with Exmouth. It was originally built by the London and South Western Railway. The line follows the Exe Estuary for most of its route, giving views of the estuary. The line is named after the Pied Avocet, which live in the estuary.
Isca Dumnoniorum
Isca Dumnoniorum was a town in the Roman province of Britannia and the capital of Dumnonia in the sub-Roman period. Today it is known as Exeter, located in the English county of Devon. Excavations in the 1970s and 1980s established the presence of a Roman military fortress at Exeter (constructed around AD55) almost certainly for the Second Augustan Legion.

Exeter /ˈɛksətər/ is a constituency composed of the cathedral city and county town of Devon represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament. The constituency has had a colourful history of representatives from 1900 of Conservative, Liberal Party, Independent and Labour representation and has been represented since 1997 by Ben Bradshaw of the Labour Party, who served in government as a Health Minister and as Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport (2009-2010).

Parliament Street, Exeter
Parliament Street is a 50 metres long street in the city of Exeter, Devon, England. It links the High Street to Waterbeer Street and dates from the 14th century. At about 0.64 metres at its narrowest and approximately 1.22 metres at its widest, it has been claimed to be the world's narrowest street, although this title actually belongs to the Spreuerhofstraße in Reutlingen, Germany.
Exe Island
Exe Island was the early industrial area of Exeter, England, and was an area of marshland between the city walls and the River Exe, reclaimed by the construction of a series of leats, or water courses, possibly from as early as the 10th century. Of these, the Higher Leat still exists. It created Exe Island, which was a separate manor belonging to the Courtenays, Earls of Devon. The leats were used to drive fulling mills and corn mills.

The church building is in the Early English style and was built to the designs of Rhode Hawkins, 1867-68. The reredos is by Caroë, 1899. Within the Parish of St David with St Michael & All Angels, the building towers above its surroundings, the spire exceeding the height of even the Cathedral towers.

Alphington Halt railway station
Alphington Halt railway station was a small station on the Teign Valley Line, which operated in the South West England county of Devon, diverging from the Great Western Main Line at Exeter. The branch opened in 1882 and closed in 1961.
Butts Ferry
The Butts Ferry is a hand operated pedestrian cable ferry that crosses the River Exe in the city of Exeter in the English county of Devon. The crossing has been in use since at least 1641, but the name is more recent. The ferry is named after Mr George Butt, who fought to keep the ferry open when the City Council attempted to close it in 1971. The ferry is currently operated using a 27 feet long, aluminium hulled, ferry boat that was new in 2005.

Exeter Synagogue is located in Synagogue Place, in Mary Arches within the old city of Exeter, Devon, and is the third oldest synagogue in the United Kingdom. Originally built as a Sephardi synagogue for Dutch Jews trading in Exeter, it is now a synagogue of the Ashkenazi rite. Exeter Hebrew Congregation itself existed shortly prior to its construction.

Exeter Guildhall
Exeter Guildhall in High Street, Exeter, Devon, England has been the centre of civic government for the city for at least 600 years. Much of the fabric of the building is medieval, though the elaborate frontage was added in the 1590s and the interior was extensively restored in the 19th century. It is now a Grade I listed building and is still used for a range of civic functions.

St Pancras Church, Exeter
St Pancras Church is a small church situated in the middle of the Guildhall Shopping Centre in Exeter. The majority of the church dates from the thirteenth century, although the font is eleventh century. The church probably occupies the oldest Christian site in Exeter, and is usually open on weekdays. The church is designated by English Heritage as a Grade II* listed building.
George's Chapel, Exeter
George's Chapel or George's Meeting House was built in 1760 (the year of the coronation of George III) as a Presbyterian chapel. It was sold in 1987 and first became an antiques centre before being sold to JD Wetherspoon, who re-opened it as a pub in 2005, preserving many of the original features. It is a grade I listed building.
Cathedral Close, Exeter
The area of Cathedral Close, Exeter has been in the centre of Exeter, England, since Roman times when there was a basilica and a bath house in this area. A church was established here by the seventh century when a young Saint Boniface came from Crediton to study. The area was walled after 1283 and seven gates into the yard were created. The gates included one at St Petrocks and the original grand entrance into the yard - Broadgate. This created the cathedral close.
