Bratton Fleming railway station

Bratton Fleming railway station was a station on the Lynton and Barnstaple Railway in England, a narrow gauge line that ran through Exmoor from Barnstaple to Lynton and Lynmouth in North Devon. The station served the village of Bratton Fleming. It opened with the line on 7 March 1898, and closed with it after service on 29 September 1935. From 1923 until closure, the line was operated by the Southern Railway.

Bratton Fleming

Bratton Fleming is a large village near Barnstaple, in Devon, England. The population in 2001 was 942. The village runs along one street which climbs steadily up the foothills of Exmoor. The Flemings had their seat at Chimwell, now a farmhouse called Chumhill, which Risdon said was "one of the largest demesnes of this shire. " Benton and Haxton were small Domesday manors. The great jurist Henry de Bracton was probably born at Bratton, although his claim is also made for Bratton Clovelly.

Exmoor Zoo is a conservation centre in Exmoor, North Devon, England. The zoo developed from Exmoor Bird Gardens, opened on the site of a farm in 1982. The current owners took over in 1993, and have steadily enlarged and developed the zoo, now specialising in the conservation of smaller animals. The zoo has been a member of BIAZA, the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums, since 1995.

Mockham Down

Mockham Down is the site of an Iron Age Hill Fort close to Brayfordhill in Devon, England. It takes the form of a multi-ditch and rampart enclosure close to the top of the hill known as Mockham Down at an elevation approx 310 Metres above Sea Level. There is a smaller enclosure approx 2 km to the west on the next Hill at approx 265 Metres above Sea Level.
