Dalton-le-Dale
Dalton-le-Dale is a small village in County Durham, in England. It is situated on the old A19 road between Seaham and Murton. Most of the village is located in a wooded valley bottom, stradling a single road which follows the stream that runs through what is left of Cold Hesledon Dene. Where the road rises to meet the original path of the old A19, there is a small but very fine medieval church which is hidden form the old A19 in a dip.

Dalton Park
Dalton Park is a shopping centre in Murton, County Durham. It is built on the site of the former colliery's slag heaps. It is the largest factory outlet style shopping centre in the North East, where branded goods are sold at discounted prices, usually discontinued lines of stock. Seaham Colliery
The Seaham Colliery was a coal mine in County Durham in the North of England. The mine suffered an underground explosion in 1880 which saw the deaths of upwards of 160 people including surface workers and rescuers.
Hole-in-the-Wall, Seaham Harbour
The Marquess of Londonderry proposed the building of a new harbour at a rocky inlet at Dalden Ness, Seaham and work began in November 1828. Previously this rocky inlet was known by the locals as "the black hole". Mariners using the harbour colloquially referred to it as the "hole-in-the-wall" because it was hewn out of the actual cliffs unlike many typical harbour constructions.
