It includes 972 hectares of mixed deciduous and evergreen woodland, making it the largest area of woodland in Cheshire. The name means "forest of the lakes". Delamere Forest is the remnant of the Forests of Mara and Mondrem, which covered over 60 square miles in the north-west of the county in the 11th century.

Delamere railway station opened on 22 June 1870. It serves both the village of Delamere and Delamere Forest in Cheshire, England. The station is 9½ miles (15 km) east of Chester on the Mid-Cheshire Line. The station is unmanned; one must board the train and present a valid ticket or pay the fare. Railcard fares are accepted. The station marks one end of the Baker Way footpath. The station was used as a location in an episode of the popular UK TV series 'Survivors'.

The name of the village comes from the French de la mere "of the lake". The civil parish is well known for the Delamere Forest, an expanse of oak, pine and sycamore trees which forms the largest woodland in Cheshire. It includes the hills of Old Pale and Eddisbury Hill, part of the Mid Cheshire Ridge.

Warburton's Wood Nature Reserve

Warburton's Wood Nature Reserve is a nature reserve near Kingsley, Cheshire, England. A Site of Special Scientific Interest, it is managed by the Cheshire Wildlife Trust. A classic English scene, Warburton’s Wood is an ancient clough woodland, with small meandering waterfalls, along a tributary of the River Weaver. The trees include oak, ash, wych elm, hazel, hawthorn and guelder rose. Sycamores are also in the wood but are slowly being removed to allow the native trees to flourish.

Crewood Hall is a country house to the northeast of the village of Kingsley, Cheshire, England. It dates from the 16th century, and has a porch dated 1638. Initially timber-framed, the building was encased in brick and remodelled in the 19th century. It has stone dressings and tiled roofs, and is in two storeys. The house consists of a hall with two cross wings and a two-storey porch at the end of the left wing.

Norley Hall

Norley Hall is a country house in the village of Norley, Cheshire, England. It was built in about 1500 on the site of an earlier house for the Hall family, enlarged in 1697 for John Hall, rebuilt in 1782 for William Hall, and enlarged again in about 1845 for Samuel Woodhouse, giving it a Tudor appearance. The architect responsible for this latest enlargement was Alfred Bowyer Clayton.

Dutton Horse Bridge

Dutton Horse Bridge is a timber twin-span footbridge across part of the Weaver navigation, near the villages of Acton Bridge and Dutton in Cheshire, England. The bridge is located at SJ 583 767, between the Dutton Locks and Dutton Viaduct. It carries the towpath across a subsidiary channel used to regulate the water level, at the point where it rejoins the main river. The bridge dates from 1915–1919 and is by John Arthur Saner.
