Dubai
Dubai is a city in the United Arab Emirates, located within the emirate of the same name. The emirate of Dubai is located southeast of the Persian Gulf on the Arabian Peninsula and is one of the seven emirates that make up the country. It has the largest population in the UAE (2,106,177) and the second-largest land territory by area (4,114 km2) after Abu Dhabi.
Port Rashid
Port Rashid, also referred to as Mina Rashid, is a man made, commercial port in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Named after Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the port opened in 1972. At the time the port only had two gantry cranes and a capacity of less than 100,000 TEUs. In 1978, the port was expanded to include 35 berths (five of which were able to be used by the largest container ships at the time).

Bur Dubai
Bur Dubai is a historic district in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, located on the western side of the Dubai Creek. The name literally translates to Mainland Dubai, a reference to the traditional separation of the Bur Dubai area from Deira by the Dubai Creek. This is because Bur Dubai historically consisted of all districts between the western bank of the Creek and Jumeirah. The Ruler's Court is located in the district adjacent to the Grand Mosque.

Al Shindagha
Al Shindagha, sometimes spelled Al Shindagah or Al Shindaga, is a neighbourhood in the traditional centre of the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. From 1912 to 1958, the then ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum, lived in the area — his residence in Al Shindagha is now open to the public as a museum. It is bordered by the locality of Bur Dubai in the south, and by Port Rashid on the west. The Dubai Creek runs along the district's western periphery.
Al Shindagha Tunnel
Al Shindagha Tunnel is a tunnel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It goes under Dubai Creek to connect the neighborhoods of Al Ras, Deira and Al Shindagha. It is the only underwater crossing at Dubai Creek. The tunnel has a total of four lanes (two in each direction), a height clearance of 5 meters and speed is limited at 60 km/h. It opened in 1975.
Etisalat Tower 1
The Etisalat Tower 1 (known as Etisalat Tower until Etisalat Tower 2 began construction) is a 17-floor tower in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The tower has a total structural height of 100 m (328 ft). Upon completion in 1992, Etisalat Tower was the fourth-tallest building in Dubai. The building houses Etisalat's Dubai head office.
Dubai Municipality
Dubai Municipality is the municipal body with jurisdiction over city services and the upkeep of facilities in the Emirate of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was established in 1954 by the then crown prince of Dubai, Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. In 2001, the municipality embarked on an e-government project to provide 40 of its city services online through its web portal.
Al Bastakiya
Al Bastakiya is a historic district in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Together with Al Shindagha, Al Bastakiya is one of the oldest residential areas in the city of Dubai. The locality lies along Dubai Creek and includes narrow lanes and wind towers, as well as the Al Fahidi Fort, the oldest existing building in Dubai. The construction of Al Bastakiya dates back to the 1890s.

Ayal Nasir is bordered to the west by Al Dhagaya, the east by Al Murar, the south by Naif and to the north by the Deira Corniche. The local road system in Ayal Nasir follows the grid plan. Even-numbered roads run east-west through the community (from 2nd Street to 20th Street), while odd-numbered roads run north-south (from 1C Street to 23rd Street).

Al Rifa, also spelled Al Raffa, is a locality in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Located in western Dubai, in Bur Dubai, Al Rifa borders Al Souk Al Kabir to the north, Al Hudaiba to the south, Port Rashid to the west and Al Mankhool to the east. Al Rifa is largely a residential community; however several banks, restaurants and shopping centres (such as Al Khaleej Centre) are located in Al Rifa.

Retailers in the souk include both well established stores like Damas, ARY Jewellery, Shyam Jewellery and Joy Alukkas as well as smaller stores that operate mainly in the gold souk.

Geography of Dubai
Dubai is situated on the Persian Gulf coast of the United Arab Emirates. Apart from being a city, it also forms one of the seven emirates of the country. It is roughly at sea level . The emirate of Dubai shares borders with Abu Dhabi in the south, Sharjah in the northeast, and the Sultanate of Oman in the southeast. Hatta, a minor exclave of the emirate, is surrounded on three sides by Oman and by the emirates of Ajman (in the west) and Ras Al Khaimah (in the north).
Al Karama, United Arab Emirates
Al Karama, a proposed planned city to be built on the border of the emirates of Abu Dhabi and Dubai, was specified as the permanent capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by the Constitution of 1971. The city was never built, and Abu Dhabi became the official capital of the UAE in 1996.
Ali bin Abi Talib Mosque (Dubai)
Ali bin Abi Talib Mosque is a mosque in Dubai, just to the northwest of Dubai Museum. Lonely Planet describes it as a "simple yet striking mosque in the textile area of Bur Dubai Souq" and is notable for its "sensuous, bulbous domes and gently tapering minaret."
Dubai Museum
Dubai Museum is the main museum in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is located in the Al Fahidi Fort, built in 1787 and is the oldest existing building in Dubai. The museum was opened by the ruler of Dubai in 1971, with the aim of presenting the traditional way of life in the Emirate of Dubai. It includes local antiquities as well as artifacts from African and Asian countries that traded with Dubai. It also includes several dioramas showing life in the emirate before the advent of oil.
