Smyrna

Smyrna was an ancient city located at a central and strategic point on the Aegean coast of Anatolia. Due to its advantageous port conditions, its ease of defence and its good inland connections, Smyrna rose to prominence. The ancient city is located at two sites within modern İzmir, Turkey. The first site, probably founded indigenously, rose to prominence during the Archaic Period as one of the principal ancient Greek settlements in western Anatolia.

Ege University

Ege University (Ege Üniversitesi in Turkish) is a public university in İzmir, Turkey. It was founded in 1955 with the faculties of Medicine and Agriculture. It is the first university to start courses in İzmir and the fourth oldest university in Turkey. Ege University commonly ranks close to the top among research universities in Turkey. Izmir Air Station

Izmir Air Station is a United States Air Force facility in Izmir, Turkey. It is located 320 km SSW of Istanbul, on the western coast of Turkey. Bornova (İzmir Metro)

Bornova is the eastern terminus of the İzmir Metro. The station was built in 2000 a few metres west of the former Smyrna Cassaba Railway's station and has a connection to the Bornova Bus Terminal. The Izmir Metro is extending the line further to Bornova's city center, because the current station is not in the centre.
