Chalcedon
Chalcedon (Greek: Χαλκηδών, sometimes transliterated as Chalkedon) was an ancient maritime town of Bithynia, in Asia Minor. It was located almost directly opposite Byzantium, south of Scutari (modern Üsküdar) and it is now a district of the city of Istanbul named Kadıköy. The name is a variant of Calchedon, found on all the coins of Chalcedon as well as in manuscripts of Herodotus's Histories, Xenophon's Hellenica, Arrian's Anabasis, and other works.

Kadıköy
Kadıköy is a large, populous, and cosmopolitan district of Istanbul, Turkey on the northern shore of the Sea of Marmara, facing the historic city centre on the European side of the Bosporus. Kadıköy is also the name of the most prominent neighbourhood of the district, a residential and commercial area that, with its numerous bars, cinemas and bookshops, is the cultural centre of the Anatolian side of Istanbul. Kadıköy became a district in 1928 when it was separated from Üsküdar district.
Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium
Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium, is a football stadium in the Kadıköy district of Istanbul, Turkey, and is the home venue of Fenerbahçe S.K.. It was inaugurated in 1908 and renovated between 1999 and 2006. On October 4, 2006, after numerous inspections by UEFA, Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium was selected to host the 2009 UEFA Cup Final that went down to history as the last Final of the UEFA Cup football tournament, which was replaced by the UEFA Europa League starting from the 2009–2010 season.
Haydarpaşa Terminal
The Haydarpaşa Terminal or Haydarpaşa Terminus is a major intercity terminal and transportation hub in Kadıköy, İstanbul. It is the busiest rail terminal in Turkey and one of the busiest in Eastern Europe. The terminal also has connections to bus and ferry services. The Moda Tramway is a few blocks south of the terminal. The terminal has a main building (opened in 1908) that houses the headquarters of District 1.

Tepe Nautilus, opened in September 2001, is a shopping mall in Turkey. Built by Tepe Group, it is situated in the Acıbadem quarter of Kadıköy district in the Asian part of Istanbul. Tepe Nautilus, in walking distance from Kadıköy port at the Sea of Marmara, is the first thematic shopping mall Turkey’s with its name, decoration and architectural features associated with sea and navigation. It covers an area of 170,000 m².
Council of Hieria
The iconoclast Council of Hieria was a Christian council which viewed itself as ecumenical, but was later rejected by the Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic Churches. It was summoned by the Byzantine Emperor Constantine V in 754 in the palace of Hieria opposite Constantinople. The council supported the emperor's iconoclast position in the Byzantine iconoclasm controversy.
Atatürk High School of Science, Istanbul
Atatürk High School of Science, Istanbul (IAFL) is the second high school of science created under the legislation of the High School of Science Project in Turkey. It is located in Kuyubasi, Kadıköy, Istanbul. IAFL was established in 1982 by the directive of the Republic of Turkey's seventh President, Kenan Evren. Since its first graduates in 1985, IAFL has been an institution where students who have contributed to the future of Turkey have been educated.
Marmara Region
The Marmara Region, with a surface area of 67.000 km², is the smallest but most densely populated of the seven geographical regions of Turkey. It represents approximately 8.6% of the Turkish national territory and about 30% of its population. This region was officially put in existence after the Geography Congress of 1941 in Ankara and is geographically divided into four regional parts. Its name derives from the Sea of Marmara, which itself is named for the island of Marmara.

Haydarpaşa Cemetery
Haydarpaşa Cemetery, also known as Haidar Pasha Cemetery, Istanbul (Turkish: Haydarpaşa İngiliz Mezarlığı), located in the Haydarpaşa neighborhood of Üsküdar district in the Asian part of Istanbul, Turkey, is a burial ground established initially for British military personnel, who took part in the Crimean War (1854-1856). The cemetery holds also graves of Commonwealth soldiers from the two World Wars, and civilians of British nationality.

Selimiye Barracks, also known as Scutari Barracks, is a Turkish army barracks located in the Üsküdar district on the Asian part of Istanbul, Turkey. The Port of Haydarpaşa, also known as the Port of Haidar Pasha is a general cargo seaport, ro-ro and container terminal, situated in Haydarpaşa, Istanbul at the southern entrance to the Bosphorus. The port is operated by the Turkish State Railways (TCDD) and serves a hinterland which includes the country's most industrialized areas.

MT Independenţa
MT Independenţa (The Independency) was a 1977 Romanian-flagged crude oil carrier, the biggest ship of the Romanian commercial fleet at that time. She collided in 1979 with a Greek freighter at the southern entrance of Bosphorus, Turkey and exploded. She caught fire and grounded. Almost all of the tanker's crew members died. The wreck of the Independenţa burned for weeks causing heavy air and sea pollution in the Istanbul area and the Sea of Marmara.

It is owned by the Municipality of Kadıköy and operated by the Directorate of Youth and Sport of Istanbul Province. The arena with an audience capacity of 1,500, hosts beside national and international sports events such as basketball, table tennis, volleyball, wrestling and weightlifting, concerts and congresses.

M4 (Istanbul Metro)
M4 is a rapid transit line of the İstanbul Metro, currently partly in service in İstanbul. As of 2012, the M4 is the only rapid transit line on the Asian side of İstanbul. The line, which is all under ground, starts at Kadıköy on the seashore near the ferry and sea bus terminals, continue north parallel to the Haydarpaşa-Gebze Line until Ayrılıkçeşme, and then continues along the highway D.100.
