Üsküdar
Üsküdar is a large and densely populated district and municipality of Istanbul, Turkey, on the Anatolian shore of the Bosphorus. It is bordered on the north by Beykoz, on the east by Ümraniye, on the southeast by Ataşehir, on the south by Kadıköy, and on the west by the Bosphorus, with the areas of Beşiktaş, Beyoğlu, and Eminönü on the opposite shore. It is home to about half a million people. Üsküdar is also the usual name for the historic center of the municipality.
Marmaray
|} Marmaray is a rail transport project in Istanbul. It consists of the construction of an undersea rail tunnel under the Bosphorus strait as well as the modernization of suburban rail lines along the Sea of Marmara from Halkalı on the European side to Gebze on the Asian side. The procurement of new rolling stock for suburban passenger traffic is also part of the project. Construction started in 2004, with an initial target opening date of April 2009.
Haydarpaşa Terminal
The Haydarpaşa Terminal or Haydarpaşa Terminus is a major intercity terminal and transportation hub in Kadıköy, İstanbul. It is the busiest rail terminal in Turkey and one of the busiest in Eastern Europe. The terminal also has connections to bus and ferry services. The Moda Tramway is a few blocks south of the terminal. The terminal has a main building (opened in 1908) that houses the headquarters of District 1.

Bahçeşehir University is a private educational institution in Turkey, located at the European side of Istanbul. An academic and strategic protocol was signed shortly after (February 1998) with San Diego State University in California, USA. The enrollment of the first students was made after the first placement exam (ÖSYS) in 1999–2000 academic year.
Marmara Region
The Marmara Region, with a surface area of 67.000 km², is the smallest but most densely populated of the seven geographical regions of Turkey. It represents approximately 8.6% of the Turkish national territory and about 30% of its population. This region was officially put in existence after the Geography Congress of 1941 in Ankara and is geographically divided into four regional parts. Its name derives from the Sea of Marmara, which itself is named for the island of Marmara.
Haydarpaşa Cemetery
Haydarpaşa Cemetery, also known as Haidar Pasha Cemetery, Istanbul (Turkish: Haydarpaşa İngiliz Mezarlığı), located in the Haydarpaşa neighborhood of Üsküdar district in the Asian part of Istanbul, Turkey, is a burial ground established initially for British military personnel, who took part in the Crimean War (1854-1856). The cemetery holds also graves of Commonwealth soldiers from the two World Wars, and civilians of British nationality.
Selimiye Barracks

Karacaahmet Cemetery
The Karacaahmet Cemetery is a 700 years old historic cemetery, located in Üsküdar, the Asian side of Istanbul. Karacaahmet cemetery is the oldest in Istanbul and at 750 acres, the largest burial ground in Turkey. The cemetery was named after a warrior companion of Orhan I, the second Ottoman sultan and is believed to have been founded in the mid-14th century. It is estimated that over a million people are interred in the non-profit cemetery.
Fethi Paşa Korusu
Fethi Paşa Korusu (Fethi Pasha Grove) is a large park in Istanbul, Turkey, on the hillside coming right down to the Bosphorus shore in the area called Paşalimanı. It is located between Kuzguncuk and Sultantepe neighborhoods in district Üsküdar on the Asian side of Istanbul. It is named after Ottoman governor, ambassador and minister Fethi Ahmet Pasha. After long years of neglect, it has been recently renovated and opened to public for recreation.

Eurasia Tunnel
The Eurasia Tunnel Project will be constructed between Kazlicesme and Goztepe regions of Istanbul. It is a 14.6-km route including a 5.4-km twin-deck tunnel that will cross the Bosphorus beneath the seabed, with the aim to alleviate Istanbul’s traffic pressure. It is at about 1 km south of Marmaray, which is currently being constructed. With this new route, the journey time between Kazlicesme and Goztepe will be considerably shortened from 100 minutes to 15 minutes.
