Lac Brenet
Lac Brenet is a lake in the Vallée de Joux, canton of Vaud, Switzerland. It is located north of the Lac de Joux, only 200 meters away. Its elevation of 1002 meters is 2 meters below that of Lac de Joux. The lake used to drain naturally underground and the water resurfaced at the source of the Orbe River. Today the lake is used as a reservoir of the hydroelectric plant at Vallorbe. It is not to be confused with Lac des Brenets.

Chardonney-sur-Morges is a village and former municipality in the district of Morges in the canton of Vaud, Switzerland. It was first recorded in year 1324 as Chardonne. The municipality had 58 inhabitants in 1798, which increased to 60 in 1860 and 66 in 1960. In 1961 the municipality was merged with the neighboring municipality Bussy-sur-Morges to form a new and larger municipality Bussy-Chardonney. This union had formerly existed before 1744 and between 1799 and 1819.

In 1961 the municipality was merged with the neighboring municipality Chardonney-sur-Morges to form a new and larger municipality Bussy-Chardonney. This union had formerly existed before 1744 and between 1799 and 1819.

Border Line (Switzerland)
The Border Line defenses of Switzerland were constructed in the late 1930s in response to increasing tensions between Switzerland and its neighbors, chiefly the Axis powers of Germany and Italy. The Border Line was planned to slow or hold an invading force at the border. It consisted of a series of bunkers spaced at short intervals along the French, German and Austrian borders from Basel to St. Margrethen. The bunkers were reinforced by larger multi-blockhouse forts at key points.

Cossonay–Gare–Ville funicular
The Cossonay–Gare–Ville funicular is a funicular railway connecting the municipality of Cossonay in the Swiss canton of Vaud with the railway line from Lausanne to Vallorbe and Yverdon-les-Bains. The lower station is called Cossonay-Gare, but is in the village of Penthalaz. The upper station, some 130 metres above, is named Cossonay-Ville . The line was opened in 1897, and was initially operated as a water counterbalance funicular.

Vallorbe railway station (French: Gare de Vallorbe) is a border station between Switzerland and France. It also serves the municipality of Vallorbe, in the Canton of Vaud, Switzerland. Opened in 1915, the station is the southern terminus of the Dijon–Vallorbe railway, and the northern terminus of the Simplon railway (Vallorbe–Domodossola).
