Lake Sarnen
Lake Sarnen is a lake in the Swiss canton of Obwalden. The lake is on the Sarner Aa river, which flows out of the Lake Lungern, through the Lake Sarnen, and into Lake Lucerne. The municipalities of Sarnen and Sachseln are located on the shores of the lake, and the Brünig railway line follows the eastern shore. The lake's area is about 7.5 km² and its maximum depth is 51 m. It is about 5.7 km long and, at its widest, 1.6 km wide.
Lake Lungern
Lake Lungern (German: Lungerersee, also spelled Lungernsee or Lungerensee) is a small natural lake in Obwalden, Switzerland which is named after the town Lungern on its shore. The lake is drained by the Sarner Aa river, which flows through the Sarnersee and into Lake Lucerne. The lake was originally much larger, and covered a large part of the valley it is situated in. Starting in 1836, its level was lowered by 36 metres through an artificial drainage tunnel of 380 m length.

It is located at Älggi-Alp in the municipality of Sachseln, Obwalden. The point is the centre of mass determined in 1988 by Swisstopo. As the point is difficult to access, a stone was set 500 m further south-east on Älggi Alp (1645 m).

Ewil Maxon railway station
Ewil Maxon is a Swiss railway station on the Brünig line, owned by the Zentralbahn, that links Lucerne and Interlaken. The station is in the municipality of Sachseln in the canton of Obwalden. It takes its name from the nearby hamlet of Ewil, together with the precision electric motor manufacturer Maxon Motor, whose plant adjoins the station. The station is served by passenger trains:
