Lake Lucerne
Lake Lucerne (German: Vierwaldstättersee, lit. "Lake of the Four Forested Cantons") is a lake in central Switzerland and the fourth largest in the country. The lake has a complicated shape, with bends and arms reaching from the city of Lucerne into the mountains. It has a total area of 114 km² (44 sq mi), an elevation of 434 m (1,424 ft), and a maximum depth of 214 m (702 ft). Its volume is 11.8 km³.
Swiss Museum of Transport
The Swiss Transport Museum or Verkehrshaus der Schweiz, in Lucerne, is a museum, opened in July 1959 and exhibiting all forms of transport as well as communications. The museum also maintains a large collection of work by Hans Erni, a local painter and sculptor.
Rotsee
The Rotsee is a natural rowing lake on the northern edge of Lucerne, Switzerland. It is 2,400 m long with virtually no current and protected from winds by nearby hills making it an ideal rowing venue. The first regatta was hosted here in 1933 and since been the venue of a large number of international rowing events (including the first ever World Rowing Championships). The lake is the venue for the final leg of the Rowing World Cup series.
Tribschen
Tribschen (also seen as Triebschen) is a district of the city of Lucerne, in the Canton of Lucerne in central Switzerland. Tribschen is best known today as the home of the German composer Richard Wagner from 30 March 1866 to 22 April 1872. When Wagner was obliged to leave Munich in March 1866, he moved to a spacious villa in Tribschen on a headland projecting into Lake Lucerne.

Stadion Allmend
Stadion Allmend was a multi-purpose stadium in Lucerne, Switzerland. Its current primary use was for football matches. The stadium had a capacity of 25000, although security concerns mandate limiting audiences to 15000. The stadium had been home to FC Lucerne since 1934. Over the years the stadium has undergone some transformations. In 1957 a new stand with 2500 seats was added. Between 1981 and 1983 a new grandstand was built. In 1995 the club redeveloped the North Stand.
Meggenhorn Castle
Meggenhorn Castle is a castle in Meggen near the Swiss city of Lucerne. It was built in 1868/70 by Edouad Hofer-Grosjean from Mulhouse and in 1926 equipped with a Welte Philharmonic Organ. It is surrounded by vine yards and is considered to be the municipality's symbol. Today, it is mostly used as a tourist attraction and reception venue. It is a Swiss heritage site of national significance.

The Culture and Congress Centre in Lucerne (or KKL for Kultur- und Kongresszentrum Luzern) is a multi-functional building with a concert hall that is esteemed for its high-profile acoustics. It was built according to the plans of the architect Jean Nouvel and was inaugurated in 1998 with a concert by the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Claudio Abbado.

A14 motorway (Switzerland)
The A14 motorway, an Autobahn in central Switzerland, is a divided highway connecting the A2 with the A4, within the Canton of Lucerne. The A14 is congruent with the National Road N14 and part of the main traffic artery between the Innerschweitz and the metropolitan area Zurich. It runs mostly along the Reuss (river), which it twice crosses. The second bridge on the Reuss River is the second highest bridge in the Canton of Zug.
Neuhabsburg Castle
Neuhabsburg Castle is a privately owned castle located in Meggen, Lucerne, Switzerland, built on the ruins of a much older castle. In 1244 the income from the land was granted to the Fraumünster Abbey in Zurich. In 1244/5 the original castle was built by the Habsburg family on the shore of Lucerne Lake. The castle may have been built to replace the old Meggenhorn fort.
University of Lucerne
The University of Lucerne is a public university with a campus in Luzern, Switzerland. 1231 undergraduates and 1061 postgraduate students attend the university, which makes it Switzerland's smallest university. Despite its size, it holds an international reputation in several areas. For instance, the Institute for Jewish-Christian Research has acquired renown. The university evolved over time: Since the early 17th century, courses in philosophy and theology have been taught in the city.
Swissporarena
Swissporarena is a new multi-use stadium in Lucerne, Switzerland, completed in 2011. It's used mostly for football matches and hosts the home matches of FC Lucerne of the Swiss Super League. The stadium has a capacity of 16,800 spectators. It replaced the demolished Stadion Allmend. The stadium was due to open earlier in the year but several problems during construction changed the plans. In February 2011 the club announced the new season ticket prices for their return home.
Church of St. Leodegar (Lucerne)
The Church of St. Leodegar is the most important church and a landmark in the city of Lucerne, Switzerland. It was built in parts from 1633 to 1639 on the foundation of the Roman basilica which had burnt in 1633. This church was one of the few built north of the Alps during the Thirty Years War and one of the largest and art history rich churches of the German late renaissance period.
Lucerne railway station
Lucerne railway station is a major hub of the Swiss rail network. It is a terminal station serving domestic and international traffic on several rail lines. The lines from the east pass to the north of Lucerne and then join the lines from the north and the west and pass to the west of Lucerne before turning to approach the station from the south. The metre-gauge Brünig railway from the south and Interlaken also terminates at the station.

The Lucerne Festival is a summer music festival in Lucerne, Switzerland. It was founded in 1938 and, since 2004, it has taken place at the Lucerne Culture and Congress Centre designed by Jean Nouvel. The two resident ensembles of the festival are the Lucerne Festival Orchestra and the Lucerne Festival Strings and the present conductor is the Italian conductor Claudio Abbado.

The station opened in November 2012, and is situated in a tunnel linking Kriens Mattenhof station and the approaches to Lucerne station.
