Basler Messeturm
The Basler Messeturm (Basel Trade Fair Tower), located in Basel at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:47|33|52.16|N|7|36|7.99|E|type:landmark_region:CH-BS |primary |name= }}, was the Switzerland's tallest building until 2010, when a higher skyscraper was built in Zürich. It has 32 floors and is 105 m (344 ft) tall. It was completed in 2003. A bar called "Bar Rouge" ("red bar") can be found on the top floor, providing excellent views of the city.

Basel Badischer Bahnhof
Basel Badischer Bahnhof is a railway station situated in the Swiss city of Basel. The station is situated on Swiss soil, but the station is operated by the German railway company Deutsche Bahn. A custom border is situated in the passenger tunnel between the tracks and the station hall. It is the only railway station that is operated as part of the German national rail network yet not located within Germany's state boundaries, and it is listed as a Swiss heritage site of national significance.
Basel Minster

Basel Paper Mill
The Basel Paper Mill, also known as the Swiss Museum for Paper, Writing and Printing in Basel, is primarily dedicated to papermaking, the art of book printing and writing in general. Through a combination of pictures and objects, visitors gain insights into the old artisanal techniques of dipping paper, printing and bookbinding. The museum is located in a carefully restored building that began its life as a paper mill 500 years ago. It is a heritage site of national significance.

Through its program of temporary exhibitions and events, the S AM Swiss Architecture Museum (German: S AM Schweizerisches Architektur Museum) in Basel contributes to international debates on architecture and urban development as well as related sociopolitical aspects. In addition, the museum issues publications and holds special events in conjunction with the exhibitions. Its premises are located within the Kunsthalle Basel.

With a heritage dating back over 300 years, the Natural History Museum of Basel (German: Naturhistorisches Museum Basel) in Basel, Switzerland, houses wide-ranging collections primarily focused on the fields of zoology, entomology, mineralogy, anthropology, osteology and paleontology. Its mission is to expand, conserve, explore, document and communicate the over 7.7 million objects in its holdings, which are conceived as an “Archive of Life”.
Antikenmuseum Basel und Sammlung Ludwig
Founded in 1961, the Antikenmuseum Basel und Sammlung Ludwig (Basel Museum of Ancient Art and Ludwig Collection) is one of the many museums in the Swiss city of Basel and a heritage site of national significance. The museum is devoted exclusively to the art of ancient civilizations from the 4th millennium BC to the 7th century AD. The only one of its kind in Switzerland, the museum shows works of art from the Mediterranean region, predominantly from the period from 1000 BC to 300 AD.
Caricature & Cartoon Museum Basel
The Cartoonmuseum Basel (founded in 1979) is devoted to cartoons, parodies and pastiches of works of art and artists, comics and caricatures. The Basel museum is the only one of its kind within a radius of 500 kilometers. Encompassing some 3,000 original works by over 700 artists from the 20th and 21st centuries from over three dozen countries, the collection’s holdings are shown in thematic and monografic temporary exhibitions. The museum is a heritage site of national significance.

Birsköpfli
The Birsköpfli (also called Birskopf, German for Birs River Head) is a leisure and bathing area in the Swiss city of Basel and its neighbouring municipality Birsfelden. It is located at the confluence of the Birs river with the Rhine river. Geographically the Birsköpfli only means the area bounded by the Birs and the Rhine in the borough Breite; other boundaries are the Blackwood Bridge and the main road to Birsfelden.
Museum Tinguely
The Museum Tinguely is an art museum in Basel, Switzerland that contains a permanent exhibition of the works of Swiss painter and sculptor Jean Tinguely. Located in Solitude Park by the Rhine, the museum was designed by the Ticinese architect Mario Botta and opened on 3 October 1996. A variety of Tinguely's kinetic art sculptures are on permanent display, complemented with illustrations, photographs and other documents related to the artist's life and work.

The Museum of Contemporary Art (German: Museum für Gegenwartskunst) in Basel opened in 1980 as the first public museum in Europe exclusively dedicated to the production and practice of contemporary art from the 1960s to the present. It is a heritage site of national significance. In addition to classic media such as painting and sculpture, it also collects video art.
Basel-Münsterhügel
The Basel oppidum, known as Basel-Münsterhügel, is an Iron Age fort constructed by the Celtic Rauraci in the second half of the 1st century BC, after the battle of Bibracte (58 BC). The fort was situated on what is now the Münsterhügel in the Swiss city of Basel. The site was excavated by Furger-Gunti in the 1970s. There is an older undefended La Tène site at Basel Gasfabrik, not far from the oppidum which was abandoned after the fort was completed.
Schule für Gestaltung Basel
Switzerland's Schule für Gestaltung Basel (Basel School of Design) at the Allgemeine Gewerbeschule and its students have influenced the international graphic design community since it opened in 1968. Its tradition was shaped by influential personalities such as Armin Hofmann, Emil Ruder, Kurt Hauert, and Wolfgang Weingart. The name of the school represents an educational approach which perpetuates their ideas: to lay a strong and broad foundation for the major design disciplines.
Elisabethenkirche, Basel

The Blue and The White House
The Blue and The White House (Blaues und Weisses Haus) are two town mansions in the city of Basel. The semi-detached baroque mansions on the Rheinsprung 16 and 18 in Basel, also known as “The Reichensteinerhof” and “The Wendelstörferhof”, were built by the architect Samuel Werenfels for the brothers Lukas and Jakob Sarasin between 1763 and 1775. “The White House” belonged to Lukas (1730 – 1802) and “The Blue House” to his younger brother Jakob (1742 – 1802).
