Hägersten (borough)
Hägersten was a borough (stadsdelsområde) in the southern part of Stockholm, Sweden until January 1, 2007 when it was merged with Liljeholmen borough to form the Hägersten-Liljeholmen district. The other districts that made up the borough were Fruängen, Hägerstensåsen, Mälarhöjden and Västertorp.
Bredäng
Bredäng is a suburb in south-west Stockholm, Sweden. It is a part of Skärholmen borough and is named after a former farm in the area. Bredäng has an 18th century mansion, Jakobsbergs Gård, named after its first owner, Jakob Graver. Bredäng consists predominantly of 1960s apartment blocks and has a camping site by Lake Mälaren. The population of Bredäng is 9266. 60,4% of these had a foreign origin

Västertorp
Västertorp is a suburb southwest of Stockholm. The suburb was constructed in the late 1940s. The Västertorp outdoor metro station was opened in 1964. Located in the small park Lillsjöparken and surrounded by heavily trafficked artery roads on all sides, it is rich in nutrients with high levels of metals in the sediments. Prospects are to improve the water quality to keep the lake as a locale for birds.

The lake is situated in an old residential neighbourhood located between the municipalities of Stockholm and Huddinge and most of the shoreline is private property. Water level is controlled by a sluice in the north-western end of the lake where the lake empties into Lake Mälaren through a system of dikes and culverts.
