Senate of Spain
The Senate of Spain (Spanish: Senado de España) is the upper house of Spain's parliament, the Cortes Generales. It is made up of 266 members: 208 elected by popular vote, and 58 appointed by the regional legislatures. All senators serve four-year terms, though regional legislatures may recall their appointees at any time. The last election was held on 20 November 2011. The composition of the 10th Senate, which cannot serve beyond 2015, is:
Chueca
Chueca is a central neighbourhood in Madrid named after Federico Chueca (1846–1908), composer of zarzuelas. It lies just to the north of the old city and is centred around the Plaza de Chueca, with its metro station "Chueca. " Chueca is very lively, with many street cafes and boutique shops; Lonely Planet describes it as "extravagantly gay, lively young, and always inclusive regardless of your sexual orientation."
Malasaña

Operation Galaxia
Operation Galaxia (Spanish Operación Galaxia) was the codename given to the plan which preceded the 23-F attempted coup d'état in Spain. It was named Galaxia, because the officers who took part met in Cafetería Galaxia in Madrid (now, Van Gogh Café), on 11 November 1978. It was meant to take place on 17 November 1978, to stop the Spanish transition to democracy taking place at that time. That date was chosen because the King, Juan Carlos, would be away in South America.

It leads from Calle de Alcalá, close to Plaza de Cibeles, to Plaza de España.

Plaza de España (or "Spain Square" in English) is a large square, and popular tourist destination, located in central Madrid, Spain, at the western end of the Gran Vía. Paseo de la Castellana
Paseo de la Castellana (English: The Castilian's Mall), commonly known as La Castellana, is one of the longest and widest avenues of Madrid. It is named after an old fountain that used to exist in Plaza de Castilla. It starts at Plaza de Colón, passes through the Nuevos Ministerios, Plaza de Lima, Plaza de Cuzco, Plaza de Castilla, and ends near the Nudo Norte (North Junction), connecting with the M-30 and the road to Colmenar Viejo.
Beth Yaacov Synagogue (Madrid, Spain)
The Beth Yaakov Synagogue is a synagogue in Madrid, Spain. Jews began to return to Spain in the nineteenth century, and established a synagogue in Madrid in 1917. After the Republican government was defeated by Franco’s forces in the Spanish Civil War, Civil War (1936-39), Catholicism was proclaimed the official State religion and the synagogues were closed. A number of Jewish families arrived after the 1956 Anti-Semitic violence in Morocco, and soon established informal house synagogues.

Convent of the Salesas Reales
The Convent of the Salesas Reales is an 18th-century architectural complex in central Madrid, Spain. Formerly a convent, specifically the convent of the Visitación de Nuestra Señora, it was constructed and occupied by the Order of the Visitation of Holy Mary, which had been founded by St. Francis de Sales and St Jeanne de Chantal. The convent's church (dedicated to St Barbara) is now a parish church, and the remainder of the complex houses the Supreme Court of Spain.
Liria Palace
The Liria Palace or Palacio de Liria is a Neoclassical palace in Madrid, Spain. Built around 1770 by the Duke of Berwick on designs of Ventura Rodríguez, in the early 19th century it passed to the inheritance of the House of Alba. All but the facades were destroyed during the Spanish Civil War. It has since been rebuilt and still remains a private residence, in part due to the persistence of the 18th Duchess of Alba, Duchess Cayetana de Alba.
