Bank of Spain
The Bank of Spain (Spanish: Banco de España), is the national central bank of Spain. Established in Madrid in 1782 by Charles III, today the bank is a member of the European System of Central Banks. It is also the national supervisor of the Spanish banking system. Its activity is regulated by the Law of Autonomy of the Banco de España.
Chueca
Chueca is a central neighbourhood in Madrid named after Federico Chueca (1846–1908), composer of zarzuelas. It lies just to the north of the old city and is centred around the Plaza de Chueca, with its metro station "Chueca. " Chueca is very lively, with many street cafes and boutique shops; Lonely Planet describes it as "extravagantly gay, lively young, and always inclusive regardless of your sexual orientation."
Malasaña

Metropolis Building
The Metropolis Building or Edificio Metrópolis (Spanish) is an office building in Madrid, Spain, at the corner of the Calle de Alcalá and Gran Vía. Inaugurated in 1911, it was designed by Jules and Raymond Février for the insurance company La Unión y el Fénix. It is currently owned by Metrópolis Seguros.
Plaza de España (Madrid)
Plaza de España (or "Spain Square" in English) is a large square, and popular tourist destination, located in central Madrid, Spain, at the western end of the Gran Vía. It features a monument to Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, and is bordered by two of Madrid's most prominent skyscrapers. Also, the Palacio Real (Royal Palace) is a short walk south from the plaza.

Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando
The Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando (Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando), located on the Calle de Alcalá in the heart of Madrid, currently functions as a museum and gallery. The academy was established by royal decree in 1744. About twenty years later, the enlightened monarch, Charles III purchased a palace in Madrid as the academy's new home. The building had been designed by José Benito de Churriguera for the Goyeneche family.
Glorieta de Bilbao
Glorieta de Bilbao is a star shaped roundabout located in Madrid, Spain; named after the city of Bilbao. The roundabout is famous for being a cross of famous streets: Fuencarral (one of the most famous shopping streets in Madrid), Carranza, Luchana and Sagasta. Glorieta de Bilbao is also between two of the most historical districts of Madrid: Centro (1) and Chamberí (7).
Alcalá 20 nightclub fire
The Alcalá 20 nightclub fire occurred 17 December 1983 at 4:45 a.m. at Alcalá 20, a nightclub at number 20 of Calle de Alcalá in the centre of Madrid. 600 people were in the club at the time. 82 people were killed and 27 injured. The charred remains of the labyrinthine four story subterranean club remained intact but closed until 2003, when a major refurbishment was started. A remodelled two-story club, named Adraba, opened on the site in 2005 with improved fire safety.
Beth Yaacov Synagogue (Madrid, Spain)
The Beth Yaakov Synagogue is a synagogue in Madrid, Spain. Jews began to return to Spain in the nineteenth century, and established a synagogue in Madrid in 1917. After the Republican government was defeated by Franco’s forces in the Spanish Civil War, Civil War (1936-39), Catholicism was proclaimed the official State religion and the synagogues were closed. A number of Jewish families arrived after the 1956 Anti-Semitic violence in Morocco, and soon established informal house synagogues.
Church of Santa Barbara, Madrid
The Santa Barbara, also known as Church of the Monastery of the Salesas Reales is a Catholic church, built in Neoclassic style, in central Madrid, Spain. It is one of a number of Spanish churches dedicated to St Barbara.
Convent of the Salesas Reales
The Convent of the Salesas Reales is an 18th-century architectural complex in central Madrid, Spain. Formerly a convent, specifically the convent of the Visitación de Nuestra Señora, it was constructed and occupied by the Order of the Visitation of Holy Mary, which had been founded by St. Francis de Sales and St Jeanne de Chantal. The convent's church (dedicated to St Barbara) is now a parish church, and the remainder of the complex houses the Supreme Court of Spain.
Liria Palace
The Liria Palace or Palacio de Liria is a Neoclassical palace in Madrid, Spain. Built around 1770 by the Duke of Berwick on designs of Ventura Rodríguez, in the early 19th century it passed to the inheritance of the House of Alba. All but the facades were destroyed during the Spanish Civil War. It has since been rebuilt and still remains a private residence, in part due to the persistence of the 18th Duchess of Alba, Duchess Cayetana de Alba.

Café Comercial
The Café Comercial is a café located at the Glorieta de Bilbao in central Madrid, Spain. It is one of the city's oldest cafés, founded 21 March 1887 in the era of the Bourbon Restoration in Spain. It was a center for literary tertulias in the period following the Spanish Civil War. A remnant of Madrid's golden age, it was also one of the first Madrid cafés to employ women among those serving tables.

The Comisión Nacional de la Competencia is a Spanish competition regulator responsible for enforcing consumer protection and competition law acting. It was established by virtue of the Ley de Defensa de la Competencia or LDC, the competition defence act, of the 3rd of July 2007. It was preceded by the Tribunal de Defensa de la Competencia (Competition defense tribunal) until the 1st September 2007.
Café Gijón
Café Gijón (Also known as Gran Café de Gijón) is a culturally significant Coffeehouse situated at No. 21, in the principal boulevard of central Madrid, Spain, which is known as Paseo de Recoletos. The café is opposite both a railway station of the same name and the National Library of Spain (BNE). The terrace in front is on the central walkway of the Paseo.
