Strait of Gibraltar
The Strait of Gibraltar is a narrow strait that connects the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea and separates Gibraltar and Spain in Europe from Morocco in Africa. The name comes from the Rock of Gibraltar, which in turn originates from the Arabic Jebel Tariq (meaning "Tariq's mountain") named after Tariq ibn Ziyad. It is also known as the Straits of Gibraltar, or STROG (Strait Of Gibraltar), in naval use and as the "Pillars of Hercules" in the ancient world.
Perejil Island
The Perejil Island is a small, uninhabited rocky islet located in the southern shore of the Strait of Gibraltar, 200 meters from the Moroccan coast.
Pillars of Hercules
The Pillars of Hercules was the phrase that was applied in Antiquity to the promontories that flank the entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar. The northern Pillar is the Rock of Gibraltar. A corresponding North African peak not being predominant, the identity of the southern Pillar has been disputed through history, with the two most likely candidates being Monte Hacho in Ceuta and Jebel Musa in Morocco.
Ceuta border fence
The Ceuta border fence is fence or barrier between Morocco and Spain at Ceuta, a city in the North African coast. Constructed by Spain, its purpose is to stop illegal immigration and smuggling. Morocco objected to its since it does not recognize Spanish sovereignty in Ceuta. The fence consists of parallel 3-metre (10-foot) fences topped with barbed wire, with regular watchposts and a road running between them to accommodate police patrols or ambulance service in case of need.
Jebel Musa (Morocco)
Jebel Musa, Mount Moses when translated literally into English, is the name given to a mountain located in the northernmost part of Morocco on the African side of the Strait of Gibraltar. It is part of the Rif mountain chain. The mountain is generally identified as the southern Pillar of Hercules.
Monte Hacho
Monte Hacho is a low mountain that overlooks the Spanish city of Ceuta, on the north coast of Africa. Monte Hacho is positioned on the Mediterranean coast at the Strait of Gibraltar opposite Gibraltar, and along with the Rock of Gibraltar is claimed by some to be one of the Pillars of Hercules (the other candidate for the southern pillar being Jebel Musa). According to the legend Hercules pushed apart the two mountains and created a link between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic.
Fnideq
Fnideq is a town in northern Morocco, on the Mediterranean coast in the Rif region, situated 31 kilometres north of the city of Tétouan. The town is also known under the Spanish name Castillejos. It is located near the Spanish exclave of Ceuta.

Peninsula of Almina
The Península de Almina is a peninsula making up much of the eastern part of the Spanish city of Ceuta in Africa. It is dominated by the peak of Monte Hacho. The peninsula contains Ceuta's easternmost point, Punta Almina, and is connected to the rest of Ceuta by an isthmus barely 100 metres in width. The small Isla de Santa Catalina lies off the peninsula's north coast.
Cathedral of St Mary of the Assumption (Ceuta)
The Cathedral of St Mary of the Assumption is the Roman Catholic cathedral of the Spanish city of Ceuta located in a small exclave on the north coast of Africa. The cathedral is a 15th century structure, built on the site of a sixth century Christian church. There have been considerable additions to it since its construction, and its most notable external feature today is its neoclassical entrance.
Ceuta Heliport
Ceuta Heliport (Spanish: Helipuerto de Ceuta) is the heliport, and only air transport facility, serving the Spanish autonomous city of Ceuta, in North Africa. Since 9 January 2004, it has been possible to fly to Ceuta from Málaga by helicopter. This heliport is the first in Spain to be constructed and managed by AENA in order to secure accessibility to the autonomous city by air. A rapid connection with the mainland is considered vital for the development of the Ceutan economy.

Estadio Alfonso Murube
Estadio Alfonso Murube is a football stadium located in the autonomous city of Ceuta, Spain in Northern Africa. It is the home stadium of Asociación Deportiva Ceuta who currently play in Segunda División B - Group 4, with a capacity of 6,500 seats. The stadium was inaugurated with a match between Ceuta and Algeciras Club de Fútbol, with the home team winning 4–2.
Jebel Zem-Zem
Jebel Zem-Zem (Monte Sem-Sem) is the name given to a mountain located morth of M'diq below Fnideq in northern Morocco below the Spanish enclave of Ceuta. It is two miles south west of the tourist resort Punta Restinga on the eastern coast. On its northern lower slopes lies an abandoned and ruined fort called Fortin Negron.
Military Museum of the Legion
The Military Museum of the Legion was established in 1940 to celebrate the Spanish Legion. The Legion and its museum moved to Ceuta in 1956 when Morocco gained independence from Spain. At first the museum was in a small room of the barracks of the 2nd Regiment (Tercio) of the Legion in Dar-Riffien. Upon the Moroccan independence, the museum was moved to the Barracks of El Serrallo but a purpose built building was constructed in 1978 on the Paseo de Colón.
Iglesia de San Francisco (Ceuta)
Iglesia de San Francisco is a church in the Spanish city of Ceuta, bordering northern Morocco. It stands at the side of the Plaza de los Reyes, and is a distinctive Baroque twin-towered yellow building. It was built in the early eighteenth century in honour of the Holy Cross and is noted for its Baroque altarpieces and images of the Virgin and Christ.
Monumento del Llano Amarillo
Monumento del Llano Amarillo is a monument in the Spanish territory of Ceuta, in the North of Africa, at the bottom of Mount Hacho. The fifteen metre monument was moved here from Morocco in 1962 and it is one of the few sculptures left that record Spain's period of Nationalism following the Spanish Civil War.

Playa del Chorillo is a beach of Ceuta, a Spanish city bordering northern Morocco. Like the Playa de la Ribera, it lies to the south of the isthmus. It has a length of about 1200 metres and average width of 30 metres, with black sand.

Playa de la Ribera is a beach of Ceuta, a Spanish city bordering northern Morocco. Like the Playa del Chorillo, it lies to the south of the isthmus, but on the part where it joins the mainland. It is about 270 metres long, with an average width of 22 metres. It is very busy during the summer months.
