Vizcaya Bridge
The Vizcaya Bridge (Bizkaiko Zubia in Basque, Puente de Vizcaya in Spanish), is a transporter bridge that links the towns of Portugalete and Las Arenas in the Biscay province of Spain, crossing the mouth of the Nervion River. People in the area, and even the official website, commonly call it the Puente Colgante (literally "hanging bridge", used for suspension bridge in Spanish), although its structure is quite different from a suspension bridge.
Las Arenas
Las Arenas (Areeta in Basque) is a neighbourhood of Getxo. It is an affluent residential area that was built over the sands of a beach where the Gobela Creek died into a diffuse delta at the mouth of the Estuary of Bilbao in the early 20th Century. It is connected to Portugalete at the other side of the firth by the Puente Colgante and offers a marina, a small beach that can unfortunately be polluted, and a monument to Evaristo Churruca, who planned and directed the canalization of the estuary.

Peñota is a station of the Line 2 of Metro Bilbao. It is located in the neighborhood of Peñota, in the municipality of Santurtzi, in the Greater Bilbao area. The station before is Santurtzi and the station after is Portugalete. It was opened on July 4, 2009. It is an underground station and its fare zone is B2.
Santurtzi (Metro Bilbao)
Santurtzi is the north-western terminus of the Line 2 of Metro Bilbao. It is located in the municipality of Santurtzi, in the Greater Bilbao area. Currently, it serves as a terminal station, only until Kabieces Station opens in 2012. The station after is Peñota. Santurtzi is also the southern terminus of the Mamariga shuttle, which connects the station with the neighborhood of Mamariga using an automatic shuttle.
Kabiezes (Metro Bilbao)
Kabiezes will be a future station of Metro Bilbao. It will be the north-western terminus of the Line 2 and it is already in construction. The station will be located in the neighborhood of Kabiezes, in the municipality of Santurtzi, in the Greater Bilbao area. The station after will be Santurtzi, which currently serves as the terminus. Kabiezes station is scheduled to open in 2014.
