University of Seville
The University of Seville (Universidad de Sevilla) is a university in Seville, Spain. Founded under the name of Colegio Santa María de Jesús in 1505, it has a present student body of over 65,000, and is one of the top-ranked universities in the country. Seville is the 2000-year-old artistic, cultural, and financial capital of Andalusia in southern Spain; it is situated on the plain of the River Guadalquivir.

Torre del Oro
The Torre del Oro is a dodecagonal military watchtower in Seville, southern Spain, built by the Almohad dynasty in order to control access to Seville via the Guadalquivir river. Constructed in the first third of the 13th century, the tower served as a prison during the Middle Ages. Its name comes from the golden shine it projected on the river, due to its building materials. The tower is divided into three levels, with the third and uppermost being circular in shape and added in 1769.
Giralda
The Giralda is a former minaret that was converted to a bell tower for the Cathedral of Seville in Seville. The tower is 104.1 m in height and it was one of the most important symbols in the medieval city. The tower was begun under the architect Ahmad Ben Baso in 1184. After Ben Baso's death, other architects continued work on the tower. The mathematician and astronomer Jabir Ibn Aflah (or Geber) is also often credited with the tower's design.
Alcázar of Seville
The Alcázar of Seville) is a royal palace in Seville, Spain, originally a Moorish fort. It is the oldest royal palace still in use in Europe, and it was registered in 1987 by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, along with the Seville Cathedral and the General Archive of the Indies. The Almohades were the first to build a palace, which was called Al-Muwarak, on the site of the modern day Alcázar. The palace is one of the best remaining examples of mudéjar architecture.
General Archive of the Indies
The Archivo General de Indias ("General Archive of the Indies"), housed in the ancient merchants' exchange of Seville, Spain, the Casa Lonja de Mercaderes, is the repository of extremely valuable archival documents illustrating the history of the Spanish Empire in the Americas and the Philippines. The building itself, an unusually serene and Italianate example of Spanish Renaissance architecture, was designed by Juan de Herrera.

Triana, Seville
Triana is a neighbourhood and administrative district on the west bank of the Guadalquivir River in the city of Seville, Spain. Like other neighborhoods that were historically separated from the main city, it was known as an arrabal. Triana is located on an almost-island between two branches of the Guadalquivir, narrowly linked to the mainland in the north. Two other districts are also usually included in this area, Los Remedios to the south and La Cartuja to the north.
Los Remedios
Los Remedios is a district of Seville, the regional capital of Andalusia, Spain. It is located on the Isla de La Cartuja, south of the district of Triana, between two forks of the Guadalquivir river. It is linked by bridge to the city centre and the districts of Distrito Sur and Bellavista-La Palmera. From the western side of the island, it is linked by road bridge to the city of San Juan de Aznalfarache and shares a boundary in the Guadalquivir with the city of Gelves.

The Museum of Fine Arts of Seville or Museo de Bellas Artes de Sevilla is a museum in Seville, Spain, a collection of mainly Spanish visual arts from the medieval period to the early 20th century, including a choice selection of works by artists from the so-called Golden Age of Sevillian painting during the 17th century, such as Murillo, Zurbarán, Francisco de Herrera the younger, and Valdés Leal.
Teatro de la Maestranza
The Teatro de la Maestranza is an opera house located in Seville, Spain. The theatre was conceived to be one of the main cultural venues of the Seville Expo '92, and the first performance took place in 1991, shortly before the inauguration of the International Expo. The theatre was re-refurnished in 2005. Although the Teatro de la Maestranza is mainly devoted to opera, there are also performances of Zarzuela (Spanish operetta) and other musical performances.
Royal Tobacco Factory
The Royal Tobacco Factory (Spanish: Real Fábrica de Tabacos) is an 18th-century stone building in Seville, southern Spain. Since the 1950s it has been the seat of the rectorate of the University of Seville. Prior to that, it was, as its name indicates, a tobacco factory: the most prominent such institution in Europe, and a lineal descendant of Europe's first tobacco factory, which was located nearby.
Casa consistorial de Sevilla
The Casa consistorial de Sevilla is a Plateresque-style building in Seville, Spain, currently home of the city's government. The building has a large façade divided into five modules, decorated by Plateresque reliefs; these include grotesque motifs inspired by Italian Florentine architecture, heraldry symbols, allegories of Justice and Good Government and depictions of mythological or historical characters such as Hercules, Julius Caesar and Charles V.
Palace of San Telmo
The Palace of San Telmo (Spanish: Palacio de San Telmo) is a historical edifice in Seville, southern Spain, now the seat of the presidency of the Andalusian Autonomous Government. Construction of the building began in 1682 outside the walls of the city, on property belonging to the Tribunal of the Holy Office, the institution responsible for the Spanish Inquisition.
Puerta Jerez (Seville Metro)
Puerta Jerez (English: Jerez Gate) is a station of the Seville Metro on the line 1. It is also, a tram stop of the MetroCetro line. It is located at the intersection of Paseo de Cristina Av. and Almirante Lobo St. , in the district of Casco Antiguo. Puerta Jerez is an underground station, so far, it is the nearest at historic centre of the city. This centric station is located between Plaza de Cuba and Prado de San Sebastián on the same line. It was opened on September 16, 2009.

Cajasol Tower
The Cajasol Tower is an office skyscraper under construction in Seville, Spain, that is being built under the masterplan of Puerto Triana. The tower started its construction in March 2008 and it is expected to be finished the first trimester of 2013. The tower will have a height of 180.5 metres and have 40 floors. The floors of the tower will have an office usage. The tower, built as Cajasol's headquarters, will be the tallest building in Andalusia and the city of Seville.
Hotel Alfonso XIII
Hotel Alfonso XIII is a historic hotel in Seville, Spain, located on the Calle San Fernando, next to the University of Seville. Designed by the architect José Espiau y Muñoz, it was built between 1916 and 1928 especially for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929. It officially opened on April 28 of 1929, with a sumptuous banquet attended by King Alfonso XIII and Queen Victoria Eugenie of Battenberg.
Santa María Magdalena, Seville
Santa María Magdalena is a Baroque church in Seville, southern Spain. It was built in 1691-1709 under design of architect Leonardo de Figueroa, above a medieval church built after the Christian conquest of the city in 1248. The façade has three portals, one featuring a sculpture of "St. Dominic" by Pedro Roldán. Above the portals are an oculus, sided by two blue spheres symbolizing the mystery of the rosary, and a bell-gable (1697).
Costurero de la Reina
The Costurero de la Reina (literally, the Queen's sewing box) is a building constructed in the late nineteenth century in the gardens of the Palace of San Telmo, now the Maria Luisa Park in Seville, Spain. This unique building takes the form of a small hexagonal castle with turrets at the corners. The building was the guard house or garden retreat. It is the oldest building in Seville in the neomudéjar style.
Science Center, Seville
The Science Center (Casa de la Ciencia) in the city of Seville, Spain is a center for popularizing science. The Science Center is housed in the old Pavilion of Peru (Pabellón de Perú), a building of great beauty that was built in the Maria Luisa Park for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929. For twenty years the building housed the headquarters of the Biological Station of Doñana and the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas en Sevilla (CSIC).
