Qandala is an ancient Port city in the Puntland region of Somalia, 75 kilometres (47 mi) east of Bosaso City, 549 kilometres (341 mi) south of Aden, and 475 kilometres (295 mi) west of Socotra.
Ali Fahiye Geedi Primary and Intermediary School
The Ali Fahiye Geedi Primary and intermediary School is situated in the town of Qandala in a remote part of the northwestern Puntland region of Somalia, and 75 kilometres (47 mi) east of Bosaso City. It serves as the main school in the city catering for almost 200 students. It was established by the Italians during the Italian colonisation of the area in early 20th century. The school underwent masive rebuilding during the Bare regime and after the civil war.
