Outram Park MRT Station
Outram Park MRT Station (EW16/NE3/TS17) is an interchange station of the North East Line and the East West Line in Singapore. It is located in the Central Area, Singapore's central business district. Before Tiong Bahru was refurbished in 2006, it was the last MRT station that had Chinese characters on its station livery on the East West Line. Opening in 2021, Outram Park will be a triple-line interchange station with a new line, Thomson Line, similar to Dhoby Ghaut.
Chinatown MRT Station
Chinatown MRT Station (NE4/DT19) is a Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the North East Line and upcoming Downtown Line in Singapore. On the North East Line, it lies between the Outram Park and Clarke Quay MRT stations and between Telok Ayer and River Valley on the Downtown Line. It is directly below and serves the district of Chinatown.
Singapore General Hospital
The Singapore General Hospital is the largest and oldest hospital in Singapore, of which the foundation of its first building was laid in 1821. The Singapore Health Services hospital occupies sprawling grounds at Outram Park, sharing space with four specialist medical centres, namely the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC), the National Heart Centre (NHC), the National Cancer Centre (NCC) and the National Dental Centre (NDC).
Tiong Bahru MRT Station
Tiong Bahru MRT Station (EW17) is located on the East West Line on the Singapore MRT. The station is directly connected to a shopping mall, Tiong Bahru Plaza and the station is at Tiong Bahru Road. As the name suggests, the station is located in the northern part of the Tiong Bahru estate. Before the HarbourFront opened, it was the nearest MRT station from Sentosa. The station's upgrading, which included a new lift for the disabled, was completed in 2006.
Central Police Division
The Central Police Division is the oldest police division of the Singapore Police Force. It was formerly located at Beach Road Police Station. In year 2000, the Headquarters moved to the Block A of Police Cantonment Complex at 391 New Bridge Road, which it shares with other police departments such as the Criminal Investigation Department, and the Commercial Affairs Department.
Police Cantonment Complex
The Police Cantonment Complex (PCC) is a high-rise government complex located on 391 New Bridge Road, Outram, Singapore. It was officially opened in July 2001. The complex consists of four blocks of building. Block A houses the Central Police Division, together with the Bukit Merah East Neighbourhood Police Centre. Block B houses the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB), while the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is located in Block C and the Commercial Affairs Department (CAD) in Block D.
Commercial Affairs Department
The Commercial Affairs Department is a staff department of the Singapore Police Force and is previously known as the Commercial Crime Department. The department was founded in 1984 with Glenn Knight as its first director.
Boys' Brigade in Singapore
The Boys' Brigade in Singapore is a youth uniformed group organisation which has been present in Singapore since 1930. It currently consists of over 700 officers and 5,500 Boys in over 117 companies. Its current Brigade President is Mr Tan Kok Heng. The Boys' Brigade in Singapore will be celebrating its 82nd Anniversary in 2012.
Smith Street, Singapore
Smith Street is a small street running through the heart of the Chinatown district in Singapore. The only road in the area to be named after an European, it commemorates the hugely popular Sir Cecil Clementi Smith, then Governor of the Straits Settlements and High Commissioner in 1887 to 1893, who was a Chinese scholar and responsible for most of the work to combat the problems of secret societies.

Alkaff Bridge
Alkaff Bridge (Singapore's ArtBridge) is a pedestrian bridge in Singapore. It spans the Singapore River at Robertson Quay, located in the Singapore River planning area within the Central Area, Singapore's Central Business District. The steel truss bridge is 55 metres in length and weighs about 230 tonnes. It is shaped like a tongkang (a light boat used commonly in the early days to carry goods along rivers), and is situated near the former Alkaff Quay.
New Bridge Road Bus Terminal
New Bridge Road Bus Terminal is a bus terminal in Eu Tong Sen Street, near to Chinatown and Singapore General Hospital in Singapore. It is near Outram Park MRT Station. This bus terminal has an alighting berth after the entrance of the bus park. No boarding facilities are available at the terminal, however thus is done at the bus stop outside the terminal. Before the terminal was built, many bus services that ply the terminal used to ply at some bus stops along New Bridge Road.

The Volunteer Special Constabulary (VSC) is an important component of the Singapore Police Force, contributing more than fifty years of volunteer service to the nation. The VSC officers are imbued with equal powers of a regular police officer to enforce law and order in Singapore. The VSC comprises volunteers from all walks of life, from businessmen to blue-collar workers, bonded with the same aspiration to serve the nation by complementing the Singapore Police Force.
Neil Road
Neil Road is a one-way road in Chinatown and Tanjong Pagar in the planning areas of Outram and Bukit Merah in Singapore. The road starts at the junction of South Bridge Road, Maxwell Road and Tanjong Pagar Road and ends at Jalan Bukit Merah which then merges into the latter. At the end of the road, it is a conservation area of several shophouses and a three story Victorian style school building, which was the former site of Fairfield Methodist Girls' School.
Kreta Ayer Road
Kreta Ayer Road is a one-way road located in Chinatown within the Outram Planning Area in Singapore. The road links Neil Road to New Bridge Road and Eu Tong Sen Street, and is intersected by Keong Saik Road.
Great World City
Great World City is a 6-storey shopping mall, 18-storey office building and 35-storey serviced apartment building complex on Singapore River in Central Area of Singapore. It is located between Kim Seng and Zion Roads, near River Valley Road and Kim Seng Promenade. The shopping mall part of the mixed development sits on the site where the Great World Amusement Park used to be.
Gan Eng Seng School
Founded by philanthropist Gan Eng Seng in 1885, Gan Eng Seng School is one of the oldest schools in Singapore. GESS was the first school to be set up by a local Chinese and the first to form a parent-teachers' association in 1950. It was an all-boys school for 102 years until it became co-educational in 1987. Before it became a government school in 1938, many prominent Chinese gentlemen such as Sir Song Ong Siang K.B. E, Dr.
New Majestic Hotel
The New Majestic Hotel, on Bukit Pasoh Road in Singapore's Chinatown is a hotel built in 1928. The building originally consisted of four shophouses and a restaurant. In 2003, the exterior was restored to its original state, and the lobby ceiling was stripped to reveal the previous paintwork. It was reopened as a boutique hotel. The restoration earned it a national Architectural Heritage award. Furnishings include old dentist's chairs and theatre seats, as well as more modern items.
Ee Hoe Hean Club
The Ee Hoe Hean Club, founded in 1895 and located at Bukit Pasoh Road in Chinatown, was a millionaires' club in Singapore. Besides functioning as a social and business club, members of the club were actively involved in the political development of China in the early 20th century. The club supported the 1911 Xinhai Revolution which overthrew the Qing Dynasty, and later the establishment of the Republic of China.
SGH War Memorial
The SGH War Memorial is located within the grounds of the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) in Outram. This memorial marked the tragedy and the burial site of a group of medical students from the King Edward VII College of Medicine, who were killed during the Second World War in Singapore.

Baba House
Baba House is a house, located at 157 Neil Road, in Singapore, showcasing Peranakan history, architecture and heritage. It is a traditional Peranakan pre-war terrace-house which formerly owned by 19th-century shipping tycoon Wee Bin who settled in Singapore, after arriving from the southern Chinese province of Fujian. The House is also an outpost of the National University of Singapore (NUS) Museum and co-managed by the NUS Centre for the Arts.
