Sportivnaya (Moscow Metro)
Sportivnaya is a Moscow Metro station on the Sokolnicheskaya Line in Moscow, Russia. Named for the nearby Luzhniki sports complex, it opened in 1957. The architects were Nadezhda Bykova, I. Gokhar-Kharmandaryan, Ivan Taranov, and B. Cherepanov. Sportivnaya has white marble pylons with green marble accents and a ceiling of embossed asbestos-cement tiles rather than the usual plaster.

Vorobyovy Gory (Russian: Воробьёвы го́ры, lit. Sparrow Hills) is a Moscow Metro station. It is on the Sokolnicheskaya Line, between Universitet and Sportivnaya stations. Its name originates from a nearby elevated area literally translated as Sparrow Hills.
Shabolovskaya (Moscow Metro)
Shabolovskaya is a station on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya Line of the Moscow Metro. Though the station itself was built along with the rest of the Kaluzhskaya Line in 1962, problems with the escalator shaft postponed its opening until November 6, 1980. During the 18 intervening years the appearance of the platform was modernized, so it does not appear similar to the other 1960s stations on the line.
Akademicheskaya (Moscow Metro)
Akademicheskaya is a station on the Moscow Metro's Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya Line. It is named for the Russian Academy of Sciences despite the fact that Leninsky Prospekt is actually much closer to that institution. Akademicheskaya opened on October 13, 1962 and was designed by Yuliya Kolesnikova, Petukhova, and Fokina. Built to the relatively new pillar-trispan design (aka Sorokonozhka, centipede), which became prevalent in the 1960s due to its low construction costs.
Profsoyuznaya (Moscow Metro)
Profsoyuznaya (Russian: Профсоюзная, English: Labor Unions' Station) is a station on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya Line of the Moscow Metro. Opened in 1962, Profsoyuznaya is built to a standard pillar-trispan and features pillars faced (except for very thin unfinished strips at the top and bottom) with gray marble. The walls are finished with a diamond pattern made up of 4×4 squares of white ceramic tile. The architects responsible for the station were Nina Aleshina and N. Demchinsky.
Leninsky Prospekt (Moscow Metro)
Leninsky Prospekt (Russian: Ленинский проспект, English: Lenin Avenue) is a station on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya Line of the Moscow Metro. It was built in 1962 to a variant of the standard pillar-trispan design, which included a more vaulted central span. The pillars are faced with white marble with a strip of gray at the base and the outer walls are tiled.
Neskuchny Garden
Neskuchny Garden (Russian: Неску́чный сад; literally meaning "not boring" or "merry") is the oldest park in Moscow, Russia. With an area of 40.8 hectares and a former Emperor's residence, created as a result of the integration of three estates in the 18th century, it also contains the Green Theater, one of the largest open amphiteaters in Europe, which can sit 15,000 people.
Druzhba Multipurpose Arena
The Druzhba Multipurpose Arena (Russian: Универсальный спортивный зал "Дружба") is an indoor arena in Moscow, Russia, part of the Luzhniki Sports Complex. It was built in 1979, and the first competition held there was the finals of the 7th USSR Summer Spartakiad. It hosted volleyball preliminaries of the 1980 Summer Olympics and was a venue of the 1986 Goodwill Games. The capacity of the arena is for 3,500 people and is the regular home venue of WVC Dynamo Moscow Volleyball team.
Olympic Pool, Moscow
The Olympic Pool, formerly Swimming Pool of the Central Lenin Stadium is an aquatics center that is part of the Luzhniki Sports Complex in Moscow, Russia. It was opened in 1957 and renovated in 1980. The 10,500-seat venue hosted water polo events at the 1980 Summer Olympics. It also hosted events of the 1973 Summer Universiade, 15th World Festival of Youth and Students, 1986 Goodwill Games, Spartakiads of the Peoples of the USSR and others.
Luzhniki Metro Bridge
Luzhniki Metro Bridge, also known as Metromost (Метромост), is a concrete two-level arch bridge carrying road and subway over the Moskva River in Moscow, Russia, connecting the city center with Sparrow Hills. The bridge houses Vorobyovy Gory, the only station of Moscow Metro located above water. Originally built in 1958 by V.G. Andreyev and N.N. Rudomasin, the bridge rapidly decayed and was rebuilt in 1997-2002.

Moscow State Textile University
A. N. Kosygin Moscow State Textile University was formed as Moscow State Textile Institute in 1919. It is one of the oldest and institutes for higher studies in textiles in Russia. In 1981, the institute was named in honor of Soviet Premier Alexei Kosygin, who died the previous year and whose profession was in the textile industry. The institute was upgraded to "Academy" in 1990. It was renamed to A. N. Kosygin Moscow State Textile Academy.

Communal House of the Textile Institute (also known simply as Nikolaev's House) is a constructivist architecture landmark located in the Donskoy District of Moscow, Russia. The building, designed by Ivan Nikolaev to accommodate 2000 students, was erected in 1929-1931 and functioned as a student dormitory until 1996.
1961 Elbarusovo school fire
The 1961 Elbarusovo school fire was a fire that occurred on 5 November 1961 in Elbarusovo, Chuvash ASSR, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union. The fire occurred when a teacher tried to light a fire using benzine. The school burned down and 110 people died, among them forty-four children aged under eight and four teachers.
