Russian Orthodox Church
The Russian Orthodox Church (ROC; Russian: Русская Православная Церковь, Russkaya Pravoslavnaya Tserkov) headed by the Moscow Patriarchate, also known as the Orthodox Christian Church of Russia, is a body of Christians who constitute an autocephalous Eastern Orthodox Church under the jurisdiction of the Patriarch of Moscow, in communion with other Eastern Orthodox Churches. The ROC is often said to be the largest of the Eastern Orthodox churches in the world.
Institute for Theoretical and Experimental Physics
The Institute for Theoretical and Experimental Physics (ITEP; Russian Институт теоретической и экспериментальной физики) is located in Moscow, Russia as a MinAtom physical institute. Established December 1, 1945, ITEP exists as a community of people studying topics ranging from theoretical physics and mathematics to biology and chemistry. The group organizes schools for scholars and undergraduates. The school conducts and produces original scientific research.
Shukhov Tower
The Shukhov radio tower, also known as the Shabolovka tower, is a broadcasting tower in Moscow designed by Vladimir Shukhov. The 160-metre-high free-standing steel diagrid structure was built in the period 1920–1922, during the Russian Civil War. It is a hyperboloid structure. Due to its diagrid structure, the steel shell of the Shukhov Tower experiences minimum wind load (the main hazard for high-rising buildings).

Donskoy Monastery is a major monastery in Moscow, founded in 1591 in commemoration of Moscow's deliverance from an imminent threat of Khan Kazy-Girey’s invasion. Commanding a highway to the Crimea, the monastery was intended to defend southern approaches to the Moscow Kremlin.
Shabolovskaya (Moscow Metro)
Shabolovskaya is a station on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya Line of the Moscow Metro. Though the station itself was built along with the rest of the Kaluzhskaya Line in 1962, problems with the escalator shaft postponed its opening until November 6, 1980. During the 18 intervening years the appearance of the platform was modernized, so it does not appear similar to the other 1960s stations on the line.
Kotly, Moscow
Kotly, also known as Upper and Lower Kotly (Russian: Котлы, Верхние и Нижние Котлы) is a locality in the south of Moscow on the right bank of the Moskva River. The name Kotly comes from two extinct villages. The locality has been existing since the late 14th century under the name of Kotyol (sing. for Boiler), a village on the Kotlovka River. In 1606, the armies of Ivan Bolotnikov and Vasily Shuisky collided near Kotly with the ensuing defeat of the former.

Leninsky Prospekt (Moscow Metro)
Leninsky Prospekt (Russian: Ленинский проспект, English: Lenin Avenue) is a station on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya Line of the Moscow Metro. It was built in 1962 to a variant of the standard pillar-trispan design, which included a more vaulted central span. The pillars are faced with white marble with a strip of gray at the base and the outer walls are tiled.
Kakhovskaya (Moscow Metro)
Kakhovskaya is a station of the Moscow Metro's Kakhovskaya Line. It was opened on 11 August 1969 as the southern terminus of the Zamoskvoretskaya Line, and from 1983 until 1995 was the terminus of the Kahovskaya branch of this line. Since the detachment of the present Kakhovskaya Line in 1995, the station has been its western terminus. The station was designed by architects Nikolay Demchinsky and Yuliya Kolesnikova.
Varshavskaya
Varshavskaya is a Moscow Metro station in the Nagorny District, Southern Administrative Okrug, Moscow. It is on the Kakhovskaya Line, between Kakhovskaya and Kashirskaya stations. Varshavskaya opened on 11 August 1969 as part of the Zamoskvoretskaya Line and up until 1995 was served by its trains. Today it is the only interim station on the shortest line of the Metro.
Moscow State Textile University
A. N. Kosygin Moscow State Textile University was formed as Moscow State Textile Institute in 1919. It is one of the oldest and institutes for higher studies in textiles in Russia. In 1981, the institute was named in honor of Soviet Premier Alexei Kosygin, who died the previous year and whose profession was in the textile industry. The institute was upgraded to "Academy" in 1990. It was renamed to A. N. Kosygin Moscow State Textile Academy.
Communal House of the Textile Institute
Communal House of the Textile Institute (also known simply as Nikolaev's House) is a constructivist architecture landmark located in the Donskoy District of Moscow, Russia. The building, designed by Ivan Nikolaev to accommodate 2000 students, was erected in 1929-1931 and functioned as a student dormitory until 1996.
Tulskaya (Moscow Metro)
Tulskaya is a station of the Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya Line of the Moscow Metro. It was opened in 1983 as part of the pilot stage of the line. The station is a single vault located underneath the Tula square for which it is named.
South-Eastern Administrative Okrug
South-Eastern Administrative Okrug, or Yugo-Vostochny Administrative Okrug (Russian: Ю́го-Восто́чный администрати́вный о́круг, Yugo-Vostochny administrativny okrug), is one of twelve administrative okrugs of Moscow. It was founded in 1991 and has an area of 117.6 square kilometers . Population: 1,318,885; 1,109,121.
1961 Elbarusovo school fire
The 1961 Elbarusovo school fire was a fire that occurred on 5 November 1961 in Elbarusovo, Chuvash ASSR, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union. The fire occurred when a teacher tried to light a fire using benzine. The school burned down and 110 people died, among them forty-four children aged under eight and four teachers.
Nagatinskaya
Nagatinskaya is a station of Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya Line of Moscow Metro. It was opened together with several other stations of the southern part of the line on November 8, 1983. It lies underneath the surface with the depth of 13.5 metres . The passenger dynamics for the station are 54,900 per hour on entry and 57,500 on exit.

Sevastopolskaya is a station on the Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya Line of the Moscow Metro. It was designed by N. I. Demchinsky, Yu. A. Kolesnikova, and Nina Alyoshina, and opened in 1983. From this station, riders can transfer to Kakhovskaya on the Kakhovskaya Line.
Shabolovka Street
Shabolovka is one of the original main streets of Moscow which continued to develop in right up until the middle of the 18th Century. The street contains the notable features of the Shukhov Tower designed by Vladimir Shukhovin 1919, and built between 1920–1922, and the attached Broadcasting Centre in dom 37. Shabolovka Street moves away from Kaluzhky Square stretching from Leninsky Prospekt (until 1957 named Kaluzhskaya Street) to Mytny Ulitsta finishing at the crossroads Supukhovsky Val.
