Novodevichy Cemetery

It lies next to the southern wall of the 16th-century Novodevichy Convent, which is the city's third most popular tourist site. It should not be confused with the Novodevichy Cemetery in Saint Petersburg.

The Grand Sports Arena of the Luzhniki Olympic Complex (Russian: Большая спортивная арена Олимпийского комплекса Лужники) in Moscow, or briefly Luzhniki Stadium, is the biggest sports stadium in Russia. Its total seating capacity is 89,318 seats, all covered (upgraded). The stadium is a part of the Luzhniki Olympic Complex, previously called the Central Lenin Stadium (Russian: Центральный стадион имени В. И. Ленина).

Steklov Institute of Mathematics
Steklov Institute of Mathematics or Steklov Mathematical Institute (Russian: Математический институт имени В. А. Стеклова) is a research institute based in Moscow, specialized in mathematics, and a part of the Russian Academy of Sciences. It was established April 24, 1934 by the decision of the General Assembly of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR in Leningrad. The institute is named after Vladimir Andreevich Steklov.
Lyubov Orlova
Lyubov Petrovna Orlova, was the first recognized star of Soviet cinema, famous theatre actress and a gifted singer. She was born to a family of Russian nobles in Zvenigorod near Moscow and grew up in Yaroslavl. When she was seven, Fyodor Shalyapin predicted her future as a famous actress. Orlova studied in Moscow Conservatory but did not graduate because she had to work to support her parents. Her first husband, a Soviet economist Andrei Berezin, was arrested in 1930.

Its formal name is Russian Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent) (Russian: Федеральная служба по интеллектуальной собственности, Federalnaya sluzhba po intellektualnoi sobstvennosti) and its former name was "Federal Service for Intellectual Property, Patents and Trademarks (Rospatent)".
Novodevichy Convent
Novodevichy Convent, also known as Bogoroditse-Smolensky Monastery (Russian: Новоде́вичий монасты́рь, Богоро́дице-Смоле́нский монасты́рь), is probably the best-known cloister of Moscow. Its name, sometimes translated as the New Maidens' Monastery, was devised to differ from an ancient maidens' convent within the Moscow Kremlin. Unlike other Moscow cloisters, it has remained virtually intact since the 17th century. In 2004, it was proclaimed a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Sportivnaya (Moscow Metro)
Sportivnaya is a Moscow Metro station on the Sokolnicheskaya Line in Moscow, Russia. Named for the nearby Luzhniki sports complex, it opened in 1957. The architects were Nadezhda Bykova, I. Gokhar-Kharmandaryan, Ivan Taranov, and B. Cherepanov. Sportivnaya has white marble pylons with green marble accents and a ceiling of embossed asbestos-cement tiles rather than the usual plaster.

Vorobyovy Gory (Russian: Воробьёвы го́ры, lit. Sparrow Hills) is a Moscow Metro station. It is on the Sokolnicheskaya Line, between Universitet and Sportivnaya stations. Its name originates from a nearby elevated area literally translated as Sparrow Hills.
Studencheskaya (Moscow Metro)
Studencheskaya is a surface level station on the Filyovskaya Line of the Moscow Metro. It is located east of the Kiyevsky Rail Terminal, sandwiched between the railroad tracks and Kievskaya street. The station sits in a deeper cut than normal, so that the platforms are a full story below ground level. This puts the overhead vestibule level with the street, which unusually runs parallel to the station rather than over it.
Luzhniki Palace of Sports
Luzhniki Palace of Sports, formerly the Palace of Sports of the Central Lenin Stadium, is a sports palace in Moscow, Russia, a part of the Luzhniki Sports Complex. Built in 1956, it originally had a spectator capacity of 13,700. In the past it was the host site of the world and European championships in ice hockey, gymnastics, volleyball, basketball, boxing and other sports.
Khamovniki District
Khamovniki District is a district of Central Administrative Okrug of Moscow, Russia. Population: 103,016; 97,110. The district extends from Bolshoy Kamenny Bridge into Luzhniki bend of Moskva River; northern boundary with Arbat District follows Znamenka Street, Gogolevsky Boulevard, Sivtsev Vrazhek and Borodinsky Bridge. The district contains Pushkin Museum, Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, Devichye Pole medical campus, Novodevichy Convent and memorial cemetery, Luzhniki Stadium.
Sparrow Hills
Sparrow Hills (Russian: Воробьёвы го́ры, Vorobyovy Gory), known as Lenin Hills (Ле́нинские го́ры, Leninskiye Gory) between 1935 and 1991, is a hill on the right bank of the Moskva River and one of highest points in Moscow, reaching a height of 220 m, or 60–70 m ( ) above the river level. The observation platform, which gives a good panoramic view of the city, is on a steep bank 85 m above the river, or 200 m above sea level.

The Sternberg Astronomical Institute (Государственный астрономический институт имени Штернберга in Russian), also known as GAISh (ГАИШ), is a research institution in Moscow, Russia, a division of Moscow State University. The institute is named after astronomer Pavel Karlovich Shternberg. The asteroid 14789 GAISH was named in its honour.
Druzhba Multipurpose Arena
The Druzhba Multipurpose Arena (Russian: Универсальный спортивный зал "Дружба") is an indoor arena in Moscow, Russia, part of the Luzhniki Sports Complex. It was built in 1979, and the first competition held there was the finals of the 7th USSR Summer Spartakiad. It hosted volleyball preliminaries of the 1980 Summer Olympics and was a venue of the 1986 Goodwill Games. The capacity of the arena is for 3,500 people and is the regular home venue of WVC Dynamo Moscow Volleyball team.

The Olympic Pool, formerly Swimming Pool of the Central Lenin Stadium is an aquatics center that is part of the Luzhniki Sports Complex in Moscow, Russia. It was opened in 1957 and renovated in 1980. The 10,500-seat venue hosted water polo events at the 1980 Summer Olympics. It also hosted events of the 1973 Summer Universiade, 15th World Festival of Youth and Students, 1986 Goodwill Games, Spartakiads of the Peoples of the USSR and others.

The Minor Arena (formerly, of the Central Lenin Stadium; Russian: Малая спортивная арена) is an 8700-seat indoor arena that is part of the Luzhniki Sports Complex in Moscow, Russia. The Arena was built in 1956 in the USSR. It hosted volleyball competitions during the 1980 Summer Olympics. It also hosted events of the 1973 Summer Universiade, 1986 Goodwill Games, Spartakiads of the Peoples of the USSR and others. The arena is the home arena of ice hockey club Dynamo Moscow since 2000.
Luzhniki Metro Bridge
Luzhniki Metro Bridge, also known as Metromost (Метромост), is a concrete two-level arch bridge carrying road and subway over the Moskva River in Moscow, Russia, connecting the city center with Sparrow Hills. The bridge houses Vorobyovy Gory, the only station of Moscow Metro located above water. Originally built in 1958 by V.G. Andreyev and N.N. Rudomasin, the bridge rapidly decayed and was rebuilt in 1997-2002.
