Marquess of Pombal

Count of Oeiras (in Portuguese Conde de Oeiras) was a Portuguese title of nobility created by a royal decree, dated from July 15, 1759, by King Joseph I of Portugal, and granted to Sebastião José de Carvalho e Melo, Head of the Portuguese Government. Later, through another royal decree dated from September 16, 1769, the same king upgraded the title to Marquess of Pombal.

Campo Pequeno bullring

Entrecampos

Estádio das Amoreiras was a multi-use stadium in Lisbon, Portugal. It was used mostly for football matches and hosted the home matches of S.L. Benfica. The stadium was able to hold 20,000 people and opened in 1925. It was demolished in 1940 to make way for a freeway. Benfica would then move to Estádio do Campo Grande.

Rock Rendez-Vous (also known as simply RRV) was one of the best known nightclubs in Lisbon, Portugal during the 1980s and early 1990s. It's regarded as one of the most important music venues for rock music in Portugal during the 80s. It was located at the ancient Universal cinema place, at the Rua de Beneficência ao Rego. The opening act, in 1980, 18 December was Rui Veloso. RRV was closed in 1983, but a petition was made to reopen the club.

Lisbon Synagogue

The Lisbon Synagogue, called Shaaré Tikvah (Gates of Hope) is a historical synagogue in the city of Lisbon, in Portugal. There have been Jews in Lisbon at least since the Middle Ages, but the community suffered a major blow in 1497, when an edict by King Manuel I ordered Jews either to convert to Christianity or to leave the country. All synagogues of Lisbon were confiscated by the King and given to Christian religious orders.

Campo de Sete Rios

Campo de Sete Rios was a football grass field in Lisbon, Portugal. In 1908, when the rent at Quinta da Feiteira became too high, the managing directors looked for a solution. In the end of 1912, thanks to Cosme Damião, Benfica rented a field in a farm in Sete Rios for 250$ yearly. To be able to support the rent and adequate the field, Benfica lanched a fund raiser. The field was rented in 01/01/1913 next to the railway station de Sete Rios.
