Olsztyn
Olsztyn is a city on the Łyna River in northeastern Poland. Olsztyn has been the capital of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship since 1999. It was previously in the Olsztyn Voivodeship (and in other units in 1945–75 and 1975–98). The city has county status.

Owczarnia is a settlement in the administrative district of Gmina Stawiguda, within Olsztyn County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. It lies approximately 10 kilometres north-east of Stawiguda and 7 km south of the regional capital Olsztyn. While traditionally Prussian, with the Second Peace of Thorn in 1466 the area became part of the Kingdom of Poland until 1772; 1772-1945 Kingdom of Prussia and Germany.
University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn
The University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn was established on September 1, 1999, in accordance with the new Statute of Sejm signed by the President of the Republic of Poland, Aleksander Kwaśniewski, as well as the Minister of National Education, Mirosław Handke, in August of the same year. Its first rector became prof. dr. hab. Ryszard Górecki.
