Sandomierz
Sandomierz is a town in south-eastern Poland with 25,714 inhabitants (2006). Situated in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship (since 1999). It is the capital of Sandomierz County (since 1999). Sandomierz is known for its Old Town, a major tourist attraction. Administrative borders directly Tarnobrzeg. Sandomierz Synagogue
Sandomierz Synagogue in an inactive synagogue in Sandomierz, Poland. It was built in 1768 of brick in the Polish Baroque style, after the old synagogue burned down again for the last time in 1758. The new synagogue, used for nearly two centuries before the Holocaust exists until today. It was renovated several times in its history, notably in 1872, 1911 and 1929. The synagogue was devastated by Nazi Germans during World War II.

Dominican Church and Convent of St. James in Sandomierz
The Church of St. James in Sandomierz (Church of St. Jacob), also known as the Shrine of Blessed Sadok and 48 Dominican martyrs, Monastery of Dominicans (Convent of St. James), Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary, is one of the oldest brick churches in Poland (probably in Europe) and the second oldest Dominican monastery in Poland (after the monastery in Cracow). This church is a unique indirect form of Romano-Gothic style.
