Holmenkollbakken
Holmenkollbakken is a large ski jumping hill located at Holmenkollen in Oslo, Norway. It has a hill size of HS134, a construction point of K-120, and a capacity for 30,000 spectators. Holmenkollen has hosted the Holmenkollen Ski Festival since 1892, which since 1980 have been part of the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup and 1983 the FIS Nordic Combined World Cup. It has also hosted the 1952 Winter Olympics and the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in 1930, 1966, 1982 and 2011.
Røa
Røa was a borough of the city of Oslo, Norway up to January 1, 2004, when it became part of the Vestre Aker district. Røa is also a suburb of Oslo, located approximately 7 kilometers away from downtown Oslo. It primarily consists of duplex houses and apartment blocks as well as single-family detached homes.
Holmenkollen
Holmenkollen is a neighborhood in the Vestre Aker borough of Oslo, Norway. In addition to being a residential area, the area has been a ski recreation area since the late 19th century, with its famous, eponymous, ski jumping hill, the Holmenkollbakken, hosting competitions since 1892. To the north, the area borders to the woodlands area Marka. The Holmenkoll Line of the Oslo Metro runs through the neighborhood, serving the stations Besserud and Holmenkollen.

Hans Majestet Kongens Garde (HMKG) (lit. , His Majesty The King's Guard; the Royal Guards) is a battalion of the Norwegian Army. The battalion has two main roles; it serves as the Norwegian King's bodyguards, guarding the royal residences and Akershus Fortress in Oslo, and is also the main infantry unit responsible for the defence of Oslo. The HMKG is located in Huseby leir in Oslo.
Hovseter (station)
Hovseter is a station on the Røa Line of the Oslo Metro 2between Holmen and Røa. It is located in the Vestre Aker borough. The station was opened on 24 January 1935 with the completion of the line to Røa. It is 135.6 metres above sea level, and 6.7 km from Stortinget. Hovseter is one of the most densely populated areas along Røabanen, and the neighborhood has several fairly large apartment buildings, some of which are public housing.
Ekraveien (station)
Ekraveien is the last Oslo Metro station on the Røa Line within Oslo's city limits. It is between the stations Røa and Eiksmarka. It was opened 22 December 1948 when the Røa Line was extended to Grini. Ekraveien itself is a road which runs north from the station to Bogstad. The neighborhood around the station is residential, consisting mostly of detached housing.

Holmenkollen is a station on the Holmenkollen Line (Line 1) on the Oslo Metro, located in the Holmenkollen area, between Besserud and Voksenlia. Until 1916 when Holmenkollbanen was completed, the terminus station was Besserud and was called Holmenkollen. The station is at an elevation of 277.7 meters above mean sea level. The station architect was Erik Glosimodt. The station is close to the Holmenkollbakken facility and skiing museum. The area also has several residential buildings.
Holmenkollen Ski Museum
Holmenkollen Ski Museum (Norwegian: Skimuseet i Holmenkollen), located at the base of the Holmenkollen ski jump in Oslo, Norway, is the world's oldest ski museum, being founded in 1923. The museum contains 4,000 years of skiing history, starting with rock carvings from the Stone Age showing skiers and skis from the Viking Age. It also shows polar equipment used in the expeditions of Fridtjof Nansen and Roald Amundsen.
Tour de Ski
The Tour de Ski (TdS) is a cross-country skiing event held annually since 2006 (2006/2007 season) in Central Europe, modeled on the Tour de France of cycling. Each Tour de Ski has consisted of six to nine stages, held during late December and early January in the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland. The prize money for the event amount to 1,055,000 Swiss francs (844,000 euros), shared out on both men and women.
Røa (station)
Røa is a station on Røa Line (Line 2) of the Oslo Metro, located in the Vestre Aker borough, 7.5 kilometers from Stortinget. The station is located between the stations of Hovseter and Ekraveien. The station is part of the old western suburban rail network and was opened on 24 January 1935. Up until 1951 it was the terminus station, but the line was extended to Grini in 1948 and to Østerås in 1972.
Voksenkollen (station)
Voksenkollen is a station on the Holmenkollen Line (Line 1) of the Oslo Metro. It is the penultimate station on the line, between Lillevann and Frognerseteren. It is also the second highest station on the network, 460 meters above mean sea level. The station was opened on 16 May 1916 when the line was extended from Besserud (then called Holmenkollen) to Frognerseteren. The station is the one closest to the transmitting tower and tourist attraction Tryvannstårnet.
Lillevann (station)
Lillevann is a station on the Holmenkollen Line (Line 1) on the Oslo Metro. The station is located between Skogen and Voksenkollen, at an altitude of 425 m above mean sea level. The station was opened on 16 May 1916 with the extension of the line from Besserud, but the station building is older. That building was built in 1898 on an estate at Besserud, but then moved to Lillevann. The architect was Paul Due. Lillevann can claim at least two superlatives.
Skogen (station)
Skogen is a station on the Holmenkollen Line located between Voksenlia and Lillevann. The station is at an altitude of 378 meters above mean sea level. The station was opened on 16 May 1916 with the extension of the line from Besserud to Frognerseteren. The architect for the station was Erik Glosimodt. The greatest density of buildings around the station area are the apartment buildings of the Voksen Skog neighborhood on the slope on the line's west side.
Huseby Leir
Huseby Leir is the base of the Norwegian Hans Majestet Kongens Garde (HMKG) (lit. , His Majesty The King's Guard). Huseby Leir is located on the old Oslo farm, Nordre Huseby gård, which was acquired by the Norwegian government in the late 19th century. It is a modern base, but has decayed because of construction errors which lead to mold and damp damage in walls and roofs. From 2002 to 2005 the base underwent a total renovation.

Huseby skole (station)
Huseby skole is a former metro station on the Røa Line of the Oslo Metro. The station was located between Hovseter and Røa, and was opened when the Røa Line was created, as an extension from Smestad to Røa on 24 January 1935. It was closed as a part of the Røa Line overhaul in 1995.
Grini (station)
Grini is a former subway station on the Røa Line of the Oslo Metro. The station was located between Ekraveien and Eiksmarka, and was opened when the Røa Line was extended into Bærum on 22 December 1948. It was the first station on the Røa Line located in Bærum; the line would later be extended to Lijordet (1951) and Østerås (1972). Grini station was closed as a part of the Røa Line overhaul in 1995.
Bogstadvannet
Bogstadvannet is a lake between the city of Oslo and the municipality of Bærum, Akershus, Norway. It is part of Sørkedalsvassdraget, which in turn is part of Oslomarkvassdraget. Originally, the lake was named Få(d)vannet after an earlier name for Lysakerelven, but has since taken the name of the Bogstad estate and manor, on the east shore of the lake.

Bogstad
Bogstad is a former estate and now neighborhood in the borough of Vestre Aker in Oslo, Norway. It has its origin in a farm by the same name, near the lake Bogstadvannet. The farm was owned by several notable people. It went from Peder Nielsen Leuch and his family to Peder Anker of the Anker family via marriage; then to Johan Caspar Herman Wedel-Jarlsberg of the Wedel-Jarlsberg family via his marriage to Karen anker .
Hovseter
Hovseter comes under Vestre Aker kommune and lies between Røa and Holmen in Oslo, Norway. Hovseter was originally a place under Hoff farm. The site was mainly developed in the 1970s as a project associated experimental political sociology and was listed under the then Social Democratic government. The buildings consist largely of blocks of flats in the low / medium altitude by Norwegian standards. Some of the buildings are older, however, and originates from the 1950s.
Holmenkollen National Arena
Holmenkollen National Arena is a Nordic skiing and biathlon venue located at Holmenkollen in Oslo, Norway. It consists of the large ski jumping hill Holmenkollbakken, the normal hill Midtstubakken and a stadium for cross-country skiing and a shooting range for biathlon. Since 1892, it has hosted the annual Holmenkollen Ski Festival, which is part of the world cup tournaments in ski jumping, cross-country skiing, Nordic combined, as well as annual Biathlon World Cup races.

The Royal Lodge, Holmenkollen
The Royal Lodge or The Royal Villa is located in Holmenkollen in Oslo, Norway and is in the Norwegian royal family's private possession. The property is used mainly in winter, and the royal family usually celebrates Christmas there, and stays at the Royal Lodge during the Holmenkollen Ski Festival every year. King Haakon VII and Queen Maud received the Royal Lodge as a gift from the Norwegian people for the coronation in 1906. It was financed by a fundraising campaign.
