University of Otago
The University of Otago (Māori: 'Te Whare Wānanga o Otāgo') in Dunedin is New Zealand's oldest university. It had over 21,000 students enrolled during 2011. The university has New Zealand's highest average research quality and in New Zealand is second only to the University of Auckland in the number of A rated academic researchers it employs. It topped the New Zealand Performance Based Research Fund evaluation in 2006.
Knox College, Otago
Knox College is a privately run residential college affiliated to the University of Otago in New Zealand, providing accommodation for primarily first and second year students, with a smaller number of postgraduates. The college is set in an 11 hectares landscaped site in Opoho on the opposite side of the Dunedin Botanic Gardens from the University. The site is shared with Salmond College, which was originally set up as complementary accommodation for female students.
Selwyn College, Otago
Selwyn College is a residential college affiliated to the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand. It was founded by Bishop Samuel Tarratt Nevill as a theological college training clergy for the Anglican Church and as a hall of residence for students attending the university. It is named after George Augustus Selwyn, the first Bishop of New Zealand and is owned by the Anglican Diocese of Dunedin. It was opened on 15 January 1893.
Salmond College
Salmond College is a residential college affiliated to the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand. As an affiliated college, it is privately owned and is run independently from the university, being governed by The Council of Knox College and Salmond College, a body with links to the Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand. The college was opened in 1971 as Salmond Hall, originally to accommodate women students, to parallel the male-only facility Knox College.
Carrington College, Otago
Carrington College is a residential college of the University of Otago. This complex of buildings has accommodation for 242 male and female students and was opened in 1945. It was the first university hall of residence in Australasia to accept both men and women students. It is named for G.W. Carrington, a former head of the Otago Education Board. The current Warden is Ashley Day, replacing David King in 2007. The college was known as Carrington Hall until 2006.
University College, Otago
University College (UniCol), founded in 1969, is the largest residential hall at the University of Otago. It houses approximately 550 residents during the academic year. Originally consisting of two towers, North Tower and South Tower, it has since been expanded with the apprehension of a set of flats on Clyde street and then in 2004 with the Northern and Southern Annexes. It is one of the most central colleges on the campus, situated beside the university's original buildings.
Arana College
Arana College is a residential college of the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand, founded in 1943 by the Rev. William Turner and the Stuart Residence Halls Council. The name "Arana" is a Māori transliteration of "Allen", chosen to honour Sir James Allen, a former Vice Chancellor (1903–1909) and Chancellor (1909–1912) of the University of Otago. The current warden is Jamie Gilbertson.
Studholme College
Studholme College is a residential college of the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand, situated on Clyde Street, a few minutes walk northeast of the university. Housing approximately 185 students, it is one of the smaller colleges in the region.
George Street, Dunedin
George Street is the main street of Dunedin, the second largest city in the South Island of New Zealand. It runs for two and a half kilometres north-northeast from The Octagon in the city centre to the foot of Pine Hill. It is straight and undulates gently as it skirts the edge of the hills to its northwest. South of The Octagon, Princes Street continues the line of George Street south-southwest for two kilometres.
Liberton Christian School
Liberton Christian School is a state integrated primary school located in Dunedin, New Zealand. Established in 1982, it caters for about 70 children from new entrants to Year 8 in four classrooms. Liberton Christian School is non-denominational and is operated by a Board of Trustees comprising parents, school staff, and proprietor’s representatives who are fully involved in its operation. University of Otago Registry Building
The University of Otago Registry Building, also known as the Clocktower Building, is a Victorian and later structure in the city of Dunedin, New Zealand. It stands next to the banks of the Water of Leith and is constructed from contrasting dark Leith Valley basalt and Oamaru stone, with a foundation of Port Chalmers breccia. The building houses the administrative centre of the university, and the office of the Vice-Chancellor.

It is one of the city's leading attractions, with over 480,000 visitors each year, and has one of the largest collections in New Zealand .
Dunedin Botanic Gardens
The Dunedin Botanical Gardens are located at the northern end of central Dunedin, in the South Island of New Zealand. They are close to the University of Otago and one of the city's most historic cemeteries, the Northern Cemetery, on a spur of Signal Hill and on the river plain immediately below it. These two parts of the gardens are known simply as the upper gardens and the lower gardens.
Aquinas College, Otago
Aquinas College is a residential college of the University of Otago, named after St. Thomas Aquinas, located in the suburb of Dalmore. Formerly a Roman Catholic institution in the care of the Dominican order from the 1950s, the college was bought by the University in 1988 and was run for a time under the name Dalmore House, with the original name later restored.
Sir Robert Stout Law Library
The Sir Robert Stout Law Library is the law library of the University of Otago. It is named in honour of Sir Robert Stout, the first lecturer in law at Otago (1873-1876). Following his time at Otago, Stout went on to serve as Attorney-General, Prime Minister, and Chief Justice of New Zealand. The law library is located in the Richardson Building in Otago's central campus in the city of Dunedin.

John McGlashan College is an integrated secondary, day and boarding school for boys, located in the suburb of Maori Hill in Dunedin, New Zealand. The school currently caters for approximately 520 students from years 7 to 13, including 150 boarders.
St Margaret's College, Otago
Saint Margaret's College, Otago is a residential college affiliated to the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand. The current Master (Head of the College) is the Rev Dr Peter Norris and the Deputy Master is Jan Burton. The college celebrated its 2011 centenary, with a college history published in 2010 and a weekend of celebrations in January, 2011.
Pine Hill, New Zealand
Pine Hill is a suburb, hill, and general area of the New Zealand city of Dunedin. It is sited on the hill of the same name, a spur of Mount Cargill overlooking North East Valley and Glenleith 4 kilometres to the north of the city centre. This spur lies in the fork of the confluence of the Water of Leith and its largest tributary, the Lindsay Creek.

It contains many of the city's major institutions, including the city's university, polytechnic, main hospital, and largest museum. Dunedin North's 2001 population was 7,047, including the university area. Dunedin North is located immediately to the north and northeast of the city's CBD.
Maori Hill
Maori Hill is a residential suburb of the New Zealand city of Dunedin. It is located at the northern end of the ridge which runs in a crescent around the central city's western edge, 2 kilometres to the northwest of the city centre, immediately above and within the Town Belt. It is connected to Dunedin North, which lies to the east, via Drivers Road, the suburbs of Roslyn and Kaikorai to the southwest via Highgate, and the suburb of Wakari to the northwest via Balmacewen Road.
Knox Church, Dunedin
Knox Church is a notable building in Dunedin, New Zealand. It houses the city's second Presbyterian congregation and is the city's largest church of any denomination. Situated close to the university at the northern end of the CBD on George Street it is visible from much of the central city. It was designed by Robert Lawson in the 13th century Gothic style and construction began in 1872. It is the second building for the congregation.
Ross Creek Reservoir
The Ross Creek Reservoir is an artificial lake in Dunedin, New Zealand. One of the oldest artificial lakes in the country, and the oldest water supply reservoir still in use in the country, it was created in the 1860s to provide water for the city of Dunedin, at that time in the middle of rapid expansion due to the Otago goldrush.
Dunedin Northern Cemetery
The Dunedin Northern Cemetery is a major historic cemetery in the southern New Zealand city of Dunedin. It is located close to Lovelock Avenue on a spur of Signal Hill close to the Dunedin Botanic Gardens and the suburb of Opoho, overlooking Dunedin North and Logan Park. The 8-hectare site was set aside in 1872, with the last plot being purchased in 1937. The cemetery forms part of Dunedin's Town belt, a green belt surrounding the inner city.
Leith Valley
Leith Valley is a suburb, valley, and general area of the New Zealand city of Dunedin, located to the northwest of the city centre. To differentiate the name of the valley from that of the suburb, the former is usually referred to as the Leith Valley, the latter simply as Leith Valley.
All Saints Church, Dunedin
All Saints parish is the Anglican parish of the northern part of the city of Dunedin, New Zealand. It is part of the Diocese of Dunedin. The parish boundaries include North Dunedin, Ravensbourne and Leith Valley. The parish community is lively, inclusive, multi-generational and Anglo-Catholic. The building is the oldest church still used as a place of worship in Dunedin. All Saints Church backs onto Selwyn College, Otago with which the parish has a long and close relationship.
