Waikuku

Waikuku is a small township in Canterbury, New Zealand, about 35 minutes drive north from the centre of Christchurch. At the 2001 census, Waikuku had a population of 738 people. It is home to many surfers. The playground and flying fox are big attractions. Waikuku school has been providing education for 140 years. In 2014 Waikuku school will relocate to Pegasus.

Woodend, New Zealand

Woodend is a town 26 km north of Christchurch on State Highway 1 named after one of New Zealand's early settlers named Thomas Woodend. The population as at the 2006 Census was 2,637. Woodend is in the Waimakariri District with both the Waimakariri and Ashley Rivers running either side. Close by Pegasus Bay and a new town currently under construction called Pegasus Town.

Cam River / Ruataniwha

The Cam River / Ruataniwha is a small river in Canterbury in the South Island of New Zealand. It is a tributary of the Kaiapoi River, itself a tributary of the Waimakariri River. The Cam / Ruataniwha rises just to the east of the town of Rangiora and flows south across the Canterbury Plains towards Kaiapoi. It has two named tributaries, North Brook and South Brook, both of which rise in Rangiora, plus several unnamed streams and drainage canals.
