Whangaparaoa Peninsula
Whangaparaoa Peninsula is suburban area about 25 km north of Auckland in New Zealand. It had 22,788 residents in 2006, many of them in the eponymous town of Whangaparaoa on its southern side. It is part of the Hibiscus Coast.
Stillwater, Auckland
Stillwater is a village in the northern end of Auckland in the North Island of New Zealand. Situated on the Weiti River immediately south of the Whangaparaoa Peninsula in the Rodney District, it is part of the area known as the Hibiscus Coast.
Weiti River
The Weiti River is an estuarine river to the north of Auckland in the North Island of New Zealand. It rises as the Weiti Stream in the low hills approximately 7km west of Silverdale and emerges into the Hauraki Gulf immediately south of the Whangaparaoa Peninsula. The upper stretches of the river are heavily grown with mangroves but with care, small craft can navigate it as far as Silverdale at high tide. Stillwater is the only other settlement along the river's banks.
Okura River
The Okura River is a river in the north of the Auckland Region in the North Island of New Zealand. The river rises in the low hills to the south of Silverdale and flows into Karepiro Bay on the Hauraki Gulf. The river is extremely tidal with only a narrow channel being navigable by small craft at low tide. The area is popular for horse riding, riders wait till low tide and then ford the boating channel to ride the estuary and beaches on the northern side.
Whangaparaoa College
Whangaparaoa College, previously called Hibiscus Coast Intermediate School and originally called Stanmore Bay Secondary School, opened officially in 2005 as the result of a merger with the Hibiscus Coast Intermediate. The founding principal was Brian O'Connell, who served until 2012. James Thomas took over the principal role with delight in 2012, succeeding O'Connell.
Red Beach
Red Beach is a suburb and beach on the Hibiscus Coast, Orewa, New Zealand. State Highway 1 currently runs through the suburb, but the majority of traffic travels along the Northern motorway inland instead, and the motorway will be redesignated as State Highway 1 when an extension is complete in 2009. The population was 6,315 in the 2006 Census, an increase of 654 from 2001.

Stanmore Bay is a suburb and beach on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula, in the Auckland Region of New Zealand. The beach is on the northern side of the peninsula. The population was 5,007 in the 2006 Census, an increase of 405 from 2001.
Manly, New Zealand
Manly is a suburb on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula, towards the northern end of Auckland, New Zealand. Manly Village is an established shopping centre, with the residential areas of Big Manly to the north and Little Manly to the south. The area was once a seaside holiday location, but has become residential suburbs within commuting distance of central Auckland city. A significant proportion of the population is retired. The population was 6,123 in the 2006 Census, an increase of 411 from 2001.
