Namibia
Namibia, officially the Republic of Namibia, is a country in southern Africa whose western border is the Atlantic Ocean. It shares land borders with Angola and Zambia to the north, Botswana to the east and South Africa to the south and east. Although it does not border with Zimbabwe, less than 200 meters of riverbed separates them at their closest points. It gained independence from South Africa on 21 March 1990, following the Namibian War of Independence.
Holy Cross Convent School
The Holy Cross Convent School is a school in Windhoek, Namibia. It was established in 1906 by the Holy Cross Sisters. The school was brought to Namibia by the Oblates of Mary Immaculate as a result of educational initiatives in the "German Protectorate of South West Africa", now the Republic of Namibia.
University of Namibia
The University of Namibia (UNAM) is the national university of Namibia, located in the Pioneers Park residential area of Windhoek. Established by an act of National Assembly on 31 August 1992, UNAM includes Faculties of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Economics & Management Sciences Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Law, Medical & Health Science, and Science. The University of Namibia is the only institution to offer a doctorate in the study of the Khoekhoe language.
Eros Airport
Eros Airport or Windhoek Eros Airport is an airport serving Windhoek, the capital and largest city of the Republic of Namibia. It is located in the Khomas Region, about 5 km south of Windhoek's central business district. Eros is a busy hub of general aviation and one of the busiest airports in the SADC region. It is the host to commercial, private, and scheduled traffic ranging from high performance jet aircraft to Cessna 152 trainers.
Deutsche Höhere Privatschule Windhoek
The Deutsche Höhere Privatschule, or DHPS as it is commonly known, is a private school in Namibia. Situated in the capital Windhoek, it is the oldest private high school in the country. It is also one of the biggest German international schools in Africa. The DHPS is a boarding school, but has many day students. The hostel is open to students from other schools too and offers various sporting facilities e.g. swimming pool, basketball courts, soccer fields and roller hockey rink.

Independence Stadium (Namibia)
The Independence Stadium in Windhoek is the national stadium of the Republic of Namibia. It holds 25,000 spectators and is mainly used for football events. It is not - as widely said - renamed into Sam Nujoma Stadium. This is a new, much smaller stadium, also located in Windhoek

The Windhoek Country Club Resort is a multi-use resort outside of Windhoek, Namibia owned by Legacy Hotels and Resorts International. The Resort was opened in May 1995 and was home to the 1995 Miss Universe Pageant. The resort's golf course is home to the yearly Bank Windhoek Namibian Open Golf Tournament. The Hotel consists of 152 rooms, of which 18 are family rooms, 39 are luxury, 87 are twin, 7 suites and 1 paraplegic room. The resort also includes a casino.

UNAM Radio
UNAM Radio is the radio station of the University of Namibia. It broadcasts on 97.4 fm and is based in Windhoek. Established in the year 2000 Unam radio is part of the University of Namibia mission to increase practical and students involvement with media and also to highlight the universities activities to the wider community. (Tyson. p65). The radio station is mainly dedicated to the university students and also the young at heart.
Maerua Mall
The Maerua Mall is a shopping complex in Windhoek, Namibia. Expanded to more than double its original size in 2006, Maerua Mall is now the largest shopping mall in Namibia and contains a number of retail outlets, including Ackermans, @home, FNB, and Total Sports. Along with Wernhil Park Mall, the two malls are the largest formal shopping venues in Namibia. Maerua mall lies opposite centaurus high school in Windhoek. It is currently the most popular mall in Namibia.
Supreme Court of Namibia
The Supreme Court of Namibia is the supreme court in all legal matters of the laws of Namibia. It is the court of last resort and the highest appellate court in the country. It is located in the centre of Namibia's capital city, Windhoek. A Supreme Court decision is supreme in that it can only be reversed by an Act of Parliament that contradicts it, or by another ruling of the Supreme Court itself.
Hage Geingob Rugby Stadium
Hage Geingob Rugby Stadium is a rugby and football stadium in Windhoek, Namibia. It is named after Hage Geingob, former Vice President of Namibia.
Pioneers Park
Pioneers Park (also Pionierspark) is a suburb in the south of Windhoek, Namibia, in the Windhoek West parliamentary constituency. It was developed in the second half of the 20th century as a white community, with the previous black residents being expelled to Katutura. The suburb is mainly residential, but also contains the main campus of the University of Namibia. Other local facilities include a cemetery and the Catholic Church of St. Boniface, built in 1928, which is now a national monument.
State House of Namibia
The State House of the Republic of Namibia is the administrative capital of Namibia, as well the official residence of the President of Namibia. Located in the Auasblick suburb of Windhoek, the State House was constructed by Mansudae Overseas Projects of North Korea from September 2002 to March 2008, a total of 66 months. The administrative building cost N$ 400 million Namibian dollars.
Hochland Park
Hochland Park (also Hochlandpark, seldom Highland Park) is a residential suburb in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. It is named after the German Khomas Hochland, the central-Namibian plateau area in which Windhoek is situated. Hochland Park is situated adjacent to the city centre and borders the suburbs of Tauben Glen and Acacia in the east, Dorado Park in the north, Windhoek West in the West and Pioneers Park in the south.
German South-West Africa
German South-West Africa was a colony of the German Empire from 1884 until 1915, when it was taken over by the Union of South Africa (as part of the British Empire) and administered as South-West Africa, finally becoming Namibia in 1990. With an area of 835,100 km², it was one and a half times the size of the mainland German Empire in Europe (without its colonies) at the time.
Windhoek Show
The Windhoek Industrial and Agricultural Show is an annual trade fair in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. It combines an agricultural exhibition, several industrial and retail offerings, and a range of entertainment facilities. The Windhoek Show was first held in 1899 and is since 1966 conducted annually. Held during the first week of October, the Windhoek Show is the biggest industrial and agricultural exhibition in Namibia. It attracts close to 100,000 visitors per year.

In 2005, the ground held its first first-class match between Namibia and Bermuda in the 2005 Intercontinental Cup.
