Vilnius Gediminas Technical University
Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (Lithuanian: Vilniaus Gedimino Technikos Universitetas acronym-VGTU) is a state higher academic school which has the rights of legal entity. The University is a non-profit institution, which was established by the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania. It is one of the largest schools of higher education in Lithuania and strives for leading the Baltic countries in technical and engineering education as well as the field of scientific research.
Vilnia River
Vilnia is a river in Lithuania. Its source is near the village of Vindžiūnai, 5 km south of Šumskas, at the Lithuanian-Belarusian border. The Vilnia is 79.6 km long and its basin covers 624 sq. km. For 13 km its flow makes the Belarus-Lithuania border, and the remaining 69 km are in Lithuania until it flows into the Neris River at Vilnius. Eventually, its waters, via the Neris's drainage into the Neman River, flow into the Baltic Sea.

Žalgiris Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Žirmūnai elderate of Vilnius, Lithuania. The stadium holds 15,029 and was being used by the first division 1 Lyga - REO Vilnius. It is the largest football stadium in Lithuania. It is named after the Battle of Grunwald and was rebuilt by the German POWs after World War II and finished in 1950 (the stadium existed already before World War II and was used i.a. by Pogoń Wilno; in 1936 polish athletics championships were held at the stadium).
National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Art
National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Art was founded in 1945 in Vilnius, Lithuania. It is named after the famous Lithuanian painter and composer Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis since 1965. It is the only such school in Lithuania, spanning the entire 12-year learning cycle. After the twelfth grade, having successfully passed final examinations in general and art subjects, pupils receive a school certificate. Learning is free of charge for Lithuanian pupils, but not for foreigners.
Three Crosses
Three Crosses is a monument in Vilnius, Lithuania, designed by Polish–Lithuanian architect and sculptor Antoni Wiwulski in 1916. It was torn down in 1950 by order of the Soviet Union authorities. A new monument designed by Henrikas Šilgalis was erected in its place in 1989.
Antakalnis Cemetery
Antakalnis Cemetery, sometimes referred as Antakalnis Military Cemetery, is the cemetery in the Antakalnis district of Vilnius in Lithuania. It was established in 1809. The victims of Soviet Army forces' attacks during the January Events of 1991 and the Medininkai Massacre are buried here.
Slushko Palace
Slushko Palace in Vilnius, Lithuania is a Baroque palace situated on the left bank of Neris River in the Old Town elderate, former Antakalnis suburb of the city. The palace was erected in 1690–1700 by voivode of Polock Dominik Słuszko of the Clan of Ostoja, who ordered creating an artificial peninsula on Neris for the purpose of building the palace there. The peninsula was formed from the soil of the leveled down hill separating Antakalnis from the Vilnius Castles.

Sapieha Palace (Lithuanian: Sapiegų rūmai, also known as Sapiega Palace) is a High Baroque palace in Sapiegos str. , Antakalnis district of Vilnius, Lithuania. It is the only surviving of several palaces formerly belonging to the Sapieha family in the city. The palace, ordered by the Great Hetman of Lithuania Jan Kazimierz Sapieha the Younger was built in Baroque style in 1691-1697 in the place of former wooden mansion of Lew Sapieha (who died here in 1633).
St. Peter and St. Paul's Church, Vilnius

Its interior has masterful compositions of stucco mouldings by Giovanni Pietro Perti and ornamentation by Giovanni Maria Galli of Milan, and is considered a Lithuanian Baroque masterpiece.

Kingdom of Lithuania (1918)
The Kingdom of Lithuania was a short-lived constitutional monarchy created towards the end of World War I when Lithuania was under occupation by the German Empire. The Council of Lithuania declared Lithuania's independence on February 16, 1918, but the Council was unable to form a government, police, or other state institutions due to the continued presence of German troops. The Germans presented various proposals to incorporate Lithuania into the German Empire, particularly Prussia.

Vilnius Palace of Concerts and Sports, also known as the Sporto Rūmai, is an arena in Vilnius, Lithuania. It is primarily used for volleyball and basketball, and hosts Klaipėdos Nafta-Universitetas of the Lithuanian National Basketball League. It opened in 1971 and holds 4,400 spectators.
Žirmūnai Bridge
Žirmūnai Bridge is a bridge across Neris River, that connects Žirmūnai and Antakalnis districts of Vilnius. This is a pier ferroconcrete bridge 181 meters (594 ft) long. It has three spans and four piers. The width between handrails is 20 meters (66 ft). The bridge is a 1964 project by Leningrad institute "Promtransniiproject". It was built in 1965 by the Second Vilnius Bridge Construction Administration.
Valakampiai Bridge
Valakampiai Bridge also known as Valakupiai Bridge is a bridge across Neris River, that connects Žirmūnai and Antakalnis districts of Vilnius. Built in 1972. As of 2007, it is the longest bridge in Vilnius, 341.5 meters long and approximately 21.0 meters wide. The bridge has six spans: the major one, 100.0 meters long is over the river, the second one is on the left bank and four-span viaduct is on the right bank.
Józef Zawadzki (publisher)
Józef Zawadzki (1781–1838) was a Polish pressman, publisher, typographer and bibliopolist, one of the most prominent Polish publisher in the 19th century. Bibliopolist of the Vilnius University and initiator of national bibliography. He published 851 books, mostly in Polish language, but also in Latin, Greek, Hebrew and Lithuanian. Zawadzki published significant belles-letres, as well as scientific works. He published Historia literatury polskiej of Feliks Bentkowski (1814), Poezje vol.
Vileišis Palace
Vileišis Palace is a Neo-baroque style architectural ensemble in Vilnius, Lithuania, built for Petras Vileišis. Vileišis was a prominent Lithuanian engineer, political activist, publisher, and philanthropist who commissioned the palace in 1904 and supervised its construction. The ensemble consists of a main house, a guesthouse, and an outbuilding. It currently houses the Institute of Lithuanian Literature and Folklore. It was renovated during the early 2000s.
Bernardine Cemetery
The Bernardine Cemetery, is one of the three oldest cemeteries in Vilnius, Lithuania. It covers about 38,000 square metres and has an estimated 14,000 burial sites. It was established in 1810 by the Bernardine monks of the Church of St. Francis of Assisi, just east of the city center in the Užupis district, and is situated on an embankment of the Vilnia river. Its development was a consequence of Tsarist authorities of the Russian Empire prohibiting burying the dead near churches.
Jewish cemeteries of Vilnius
The Jewish cemeteries of Vinius are the three Jewish cemeteries of the Lithuanian Jews living in what is today Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, which was known to them for centuries as Vilna, a principal city of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and in the 19th Century the Pale of Settlement in the Russian Empire. Two of the cemeteries were destroyed during the Soviet occupation and during Lithuanian SSR times and the third is still active.
Sereikiškės Park
Sereikiškės Park (previously known as Bernardine or Youth Garden) is a public park in the city of Vilnius, Lithuania. It is located on the right bank of the Vilnia River between the Gediminas Tower and Bernardine Monastery. Most of its territory is parkland, including a children's amusement park. It hosts a variety of festivals and exhibitions, including an amateur chess championship of Ostap Bender. At first the area was a swampy land surrounded on two sides by the Vilnia River.
Kalnai Park
Kalnai Park is a 24.5-hectare park between the left bank of the Neris River and right bank of the Vilnia River in Vilnius, Lithuania. It lies within the Vilnius Old Town elderate near Gediminas Hill and Gediminas Tower, and is part of the State Cultural Reserve of Vilnius Castles, established in 1997. The park hosts various events, including concerts, political rallies, and sporting competitions.

Vilnius Žirmūnai Gymnasium is a Lithuanian language gymnasium school located in Žirmūnai district of Vilnius, Lithuania. It formerly was known as Vilnius Secondary School No. 7. The Gymnasium had 800 students in 2006. The school was granted the title Gymnasium in 2000; it is home to the acclaimed brass band Septima, established in 1966.
