Kaimosi
Kaimosi is a town in western Kenya, heavily influenced by Quakers. It is located along the C39 road, 10 kilometres east of Chavakali and 30 kilometres west of Kapsabet Writer Khadambi Asalache was born in Kaimosi.
Kaimosi Friends Primary School
Kaimosi Friends Primary School, is the oldest formal school in Kenya. It is located in Kaimosi in Western Province. The school was established in 1903 as Friends Africa Industrial Mission by the Quaker Missionaries of the United States of America, who left South Africa to spread Quaker mission activities in East Africa. In 1904 the school became known as Kaimosi Friends Elementary School and diversified learning programs to include reading, writing, carpentry and dressmaking.
