Moi Air Base

Moi Air Base, formerly known as RAF Eastleigh and Eastleigh Airport is a military airport located to the east of Nairobi, in the Eastleigh suburb. The airport is used by the Kenya Air Force. Additionally, the air base is the home of the East African School of Aviation run by the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, which was established at the airport in 1954 as the DCA training school. The airport is also used to train Kenyan Air Cadets.

The Moi International Sports Centre (abbreviated as M.I.S.C. ) is a multi-purpose stadium in Kasarani, Kenya. It was built in 1987 for the All-Africa Games held in Nairobi. Humble Hearts School

Humble Hearts School, Kenya's first bilingual deaf school using Kenyan Sign Language and English, was started by Beatrice Anunda on 9 September 2003. Anunda was taught Kenyan Sign Language (in University of Nairobi's KSL Research Project), and came across a nine-year-old deaf child called Melinda in Doonholm. The school is based in Sinai (Paradise), a large slum by Doonholm, a middle-class suburb of Nairobi. Lately, the school, has been bulldozed "accidentally" by the government.

2011 Nairobi pipeline fire

The 2011 Nairobi pipeline fire was caused by an explosion secondary to a fuel spill in the Kenyan capital Nairobi on 12 September 2011. Approximately 100 people were killed in the fire and at least 116 others were hospitalized with varying degrees of burns. The incident was not the first such pipeline accident in Kenya, with the Molo fire of 2009 resulting in at least 133 fatalities and hundreds more injured.
