Ranelagh
Ranelagh is a residential area and urban village on the south side of Dublin, Ireland. It is in the postal district of Dublin 6. It is in the local government electoral area of Pembroke/Rathmines and the Dáil Constituency of Dublin South–East.
Rathmines
Rathmines is a suburb on the southside of Dublin, about 3 kilometres south of the city centre. It effectively begins at the south side of the Grand Canal and stretches along the Rathmines Road as far as Rathgar to the south, Ranelagh to the east and Harold's Cross to the west.
Institute of Education (Dublin)
The Institute of Education (IOE) was founded in 1969 by Irish applied mathematics school teacher, Raymond Kearns, and is currently one of the largest private secondary schools in Ireland. Unlike most other Irish secondary schools, the Institute only provides tuition for the final two years of the Leaving Certificate, fifth and sixth year. Currently the student population stands at (approx. ) 250 for fifth year and 750 for sixth year.
Focus Theatre
The Focus Theatre in Dublin is a small but respected theatre which offers a variety of plays from new and established writers. Focus Theatre's Acting Studio was founded in April 1963 by the Irish American actor, Deirdre O'Connell (d. 2001). The Focus Theatre itself was founded by O'Connell and her husband, Luke Kelly of The Dubliners in 1967, and opened on 29 September with a production of Doris Lessing's Play With a Tiger.
National Concert Hall
The National Concert Hall (NCH) (Irish: An Ceoláras Náisiúnta) is a concert hall located on Earlsfort Terrace in Dublin, Ireland, close to St. Stephen's Green, and is the principal national venue for classical music concerts in Ireland. Originally built for the Dublin International Exhibition of 1865, the structure was converted into the central building of University College Dublin (UCD) at the foundation of the National University of Ireland in 1908.
St. John Ambulance Brigade of Ireland
The St. John Ambulance Brigade of Ireland (SJAB) is a charitable voluntary organisation in Ireland. For constitutional reasons it is not a full member association of the Venerable Order of Saint John and the international St. John Ambulance movement, but rather is classed as an "associated body". The Brigade is dedicated to the teaching and practice of medical first aid.
Leeson Street
Leeson Street is a thoroughfare near central Dublin, Ireland. Originally known as Suesey Street, it was renamed in 1728 after the Leesons, a family of local brewers, who branched into property development and subsequently became Earls of Milltown. The street is divided into two parts by the Grand Canal: Lower Leeson Street is to the north of the canal, linking to St Stephen's Green, with Upper Leeson Street south of the canal. The Ombudsman's main office is on the street.
Catholic University School
Catholic University School (CUS) is a private, Catholic secondary school for boys. The School is one of the original private schools of Ireland which include Blackrock College, Belvedere College, Terenure College and Clongowes Wood College which have maintained an all-boys education. Catholic University School has a large enrollment of the sons of diplomats and foreign dignitaries including members of the Malaysian Royal family.
Harcourt Street railway station
Harcourt Street railway station is a former railway terminus in Dublin. The station served as the terminus of the line from Dublin to the town of Bray in County Wicklow, although it opened in 1859 after the initial opening of the railway line itself. The station facade was designed by George Wilkinson, and contained a central arch and a colonnade of doric columns.

The Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital is a public teaching hospital in Dublin, Ireland. The Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital in Dublin was founded in 1897 and is the National Referral Centre for both Eye and Ear, Nose & Throat disorders. It is a Public Voluntary Hospital, known affectionately by generations of Dubliners as the Eye and Ear. The hospital treats over 6,000 inpatients a year in its 90 beds, and over 80,000 outpatients, including attendances at Accident & Emergency.
Dartmouth Square
Dartmouth Square (Cearnóg Dartmouth) is a square near Ranelagh, in D6, Dublin. It is near the Leeson Street bridge over the Grand Canal. The square became the subject of controversy in 2005, when it emerged that years previously Athlone businessman Noel O'Gara bought the freehold on the square for £10,000 from PJ Darley, a descendant of the squares' builders. O'Gara locked the gates on the park in the square in 2006. He tried to operate it as a car park but local residents blocked the gates.

Rathmines College is an educational institution in Rathmines, Dublin that offers various Further Education courses in areas such as business, computing, media studies, office administration etc. It is based in the former Rathmines Town Hall and 28/29 Leinster Road.
